firefly is the most overrated shit despite Nathan Fillion being based. It's set up like a gritty space western with characters who are supposedly morally ambiguous pragmatists, but they all act like saturday morning cartoon characters and Joss Whedon's penchant for quips doesn't help things either.

The series never really became "bad" but it starts to fall off in the later seasons.
