Mental illness IS pretty mainstream. The vast majority of us have one issue or another. The problem is playing into the delusions and accepting their insane desires to mutilate themselves and others with drugs and unnecessary surgeries.

I'm sure back then plenty of women would fight, especially to defend shit when they had to. But it would make no sense to endanger the lives women who are physically unsuited to combat and are vital for procreation. The idea of actual warrior women being normalized is silly, even today, considering that most women in the military are borderline useless and never see actual combat.

Yeah, women always have; they just wield internal power. They were never warriors. Skalds composed parables about how killing another norse woman, even by accident during a raid, was a death penalty offense for the warrior. They had clear, unambiguous distinctions between the sexes and their roles, as all cultures have.

Only times women are ever seen fighting anywhere is in suicidal last stands, and even there they tend to just kill themselves en masse instead, since they're pathetic enough warriors that even when prepared to die during the fight they're still easy enough to take alive and rape.
