What's as far back as you can go before movies become unwatchable through being too old?
For me? Probably 1994.

lol ok grandpa. I dont go any farther back than 2002
2016
Early 80's. I love old Hong Kong kung fu movies.
everyone knows these threads are bait guys. the jig is up.
For me, it's more about how old you can get before new mainstream movies become unwatchable
I usually don't watch much from before 1906
I never watch a movie which did not come out the current year. With music if it's older than a month then it's already cringe.
I literally can't watch films made in the XVI century or before.
probably The Matrix was the last one to make me go WOW!
But I rarely rewatch anything before 1980 or after 1991
>movies become unwatchable through being too old
fuck Zoomers
FUCK
THEM
The question you should ask is how far forward can you go before movies become unwatchable through being too new.
I watch few things post 1960s, almost nothing post 1990s.
oldest thing i watched and liked was true grit iirc
as long it is not mute, it's fine
actually liked some charlie chaplin
two weeks you ancient dust fuckers, get in the bin
Everything between 1949 and 1982 is fucking garbage.
1970.
t.dogfucker
For me? 2007. Haven't seen a good film since.
1980
1977 is the exception because Star Wars, I imagine I could watch anything from that era as long as it tries to be futuristic as well, but something realistic depicting the 70s or before that? yikes
1908
Anyone that says silent movies are watchable is full of shit. Overacted and dialogue that has to be cutawayed to is not good movie making.
I don't watch anything made after 2001
2025
