Releasing an entire season of a show at the same time

>releasing an entire season of a show at the same time
Seriously, whats the point of making something in an episodic format if you're just going to vomit it out all at once? fuck Netflix and fuck streaming

literally kill yourself today, don't wait for tomorrow

that is the best fucking thing ever happened to that industry

Just don't watch it all at once you dumb zoomer, it's not that hard. You shouldn't blame random corporations for how boring and pathetic your life is that you have enough time to sit there and watch 8 episodes in a row.

I really dislike the whole model too. You wait an entire year for a new season, there's a bunch of hype, and then it all gets dumped on you at once and everyone binges the whole thing and then forgets about it. I feel like weekly episodes make the season into more of an event.

Obviously you could just make yourself watch one episode a week, but then you can't discuss the show online because of all the NEETs who binged it all in two days.

Oh no I can't discuss the show with all the retards with no impulse control, what a loss

He's not decrying it being released, brainlets. The only reason to make things episodic is when you need time. Just release it as several films instead.

It’s to appeal to zoomers that sit and “watch” 7 hours of a show as they play on their phones.

you're trying too hard to fit in, fellow redditor

Then why do books still have chapters? It’s not like The Great Gatsby was originally released as a weekly serial.

>The only reason to make things episodic is when you need time.
no it's a narrative device

The same reason why movies have scene selection.

No its for dumb millennials that binge watch everything and go "teehee im so quirky I just watched X show all afternoon and did nothing" Binge watching is a shitty way to consume entertainment, releasing episodes weekly builds up suspense and makes you think about what you watched before the next one comes out.

Why not just think of the episodes as scene selection than

>binge watch series
>throw it all up on Yea Forums afterwards
Makes sense.

Because it's a fucking brainlet who doesn't even realize how stupid it is

the spoilers will be everywhere

no one's forcing you to watch it all at once dumb frogposter
watch one episode per week if you want

the better example would be volumes, not chapters.

so people use jewflix for longer periods

>Seriously, whats the point of making something in an episodic format if you're just going to vomit it out all at once?
Binge-watching.

>misses the point
>calls others brainless
>makes retard tier claim about episodes
Ok

Then don't read them, you'd think a zoomer would know how the internet works since he's got his snotty fucking face stuck in it all day, just avoid shitholes like Yea Forums where there is going to be a bunch of spergs shitting spoilers everywhere.
