The best of non-professional darts compete at the iconic Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green for the inaugural WDF-branded World Darts Championships. Today sees the introduction of the seeded players in the men's and women's draws. Highlights today include the debut of 15 year old Luke Littler against fat cunt Ben Hazel, Wales' Michael Warburton faces the dangerous Dave Prins, one-time semi-finalist Richard Veenstra plays Romania's Laszlo Kadar and Belgian #1 seed Brian Raman clashes with veteran Johnny Haines.
The tournaments will be broadcast live on Quest and Eurosport in the UK, on Eurosport and Discovery+ throughout Europe and on the WDF’s YouTube channel for international audiences outside of Europe.
The men's last 32 is the best of 5 sets (first to 3) and the women's last 16 is again the best of 3 sets (first to 2). Women's matches greentexted like old OP use to do.

> Nick Fullwell has had a big blow in his preparation for the 2022 WDF Lakeside World Championship discovering on Monday morning that his car, keys, laptop and other belongings were taken.
>"Absolutely gutted got up nice and early ready to travel to Lakeside to find my back door to the house had been drilled open, my car stolen, wallet keys darts and laptop and other belongings taken," said Fullwell on social media.
>Fullwell has little time to arrange a new means of transport and a new set of darts. He will play against Canadian player Rory Hansen on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 PM.

If he doesn't want to go he should say he has covid.

Bummer
Jose Gray
Hoping for Cole, Veenstra and Raman to progress tonight.
Corrine Hammond v Shaun McDonald would have been interesting given their throws are very similar, just polar opposites in speed.
Jacob Taylor
Irishman with a Ukraine flag. Hope he gets battered 9-0 in legs.
>Splitting 10 with 2 darts in hand when opponent is already on a finish >lose leg >lose set Seems like a shit decision to trade a dart on doubles that might be wasted for a dart on doubles that is surely wasted.
Logan Evans
Jobber Haines now getting battered.
Luke Brooks
SIX PERFECT DARTS

Joshua Wright
That was a genuinely great match.

Also have to say getting rid of the tiebreak was a genius move for the amateur game, and that it was the first session of the week to end early!
