The animations were god fucking awful.
NONE of the characters were memorable. All I can recall is that the human woman had a nice ass and wasn't nearly as annoying as I thought she'd be.
The art direction was stunningly lazy. They had an entire new Galaxy to really work their imaginations with and ended up with biped humanoids with 2 eyes, a nose, and a lipped mouth, all using recognizable architecture and projectile weapons with pistol grips. I can't wrap my head around the sheer ineptitude this takes.
The villain was literally just some guy. I can't remember his motivations, anything he said or did, or even what his name was.
It gave us one of the worst characters in recent memory: PeeBee. A mind blowingly awful character, both written and visually.

Strangely, Andromeda is the one which tries to back to the sprawling exploration nature of the first game. Mass Effect 2 and 3 felt very cramped in comparison. That Andromeda was so hated seems to correlate with people's love for 2 and 3.
