who was in the wrong here?

actually both sides are wrong

Ishildur for not using the ring to genocide the elves.

Isildur. It's not fair to compare King to Rowling just to insult the latter. Even if he isn't a fine artist he pumps out original work after work with heavy cultural impact. Rowling, on the other hand, is a literal one hit wonder. Her wizarding world is the only good thing she ever created, and any illusion of charm it has completely evaporates when you put it in an American setting rather than a British one, showing that half of the mystique with foreign audiences comes just from its Britishness. T

Me.

are you okay?

Isildur should have destroyed the ring, but Elrond should have seen that he was already corrupted by it and taken action to make sure the ring would be thrown into Mount Doom. Instead he just asked Isildur to destroy the ring and gave up.

Bravo nolan

huh?

the virgin 'cast it into the fire'
the chad 'no'
elrond should have just tossed the cunt into the fire himself, ring and all desu

Why didn't Agent Smith just kill Nodude and threw him into the lava pit then telling everyone truth that the guy was corrupted by the ring?

Why didn't Elrond just push him into death mountain?

Cause you don't destroy your plot before the fellowship has even left elftopia

Inceldur

So it takes Isildur a mere 2 seconds to be corrupted, yet for Frodo it takes like a year.

bravo tolkien

I didnt even watch the movies or read the books but i remember reading here that its harder for hobbits to be corrupted due to some reason which i cant remember

The paraphrased version is it takes longer to corrupt hobbits because they're a bunch of manlet stoners with low ambitions while Isildur was the king of a major nation who defeated Satan in personal combat and took the source of his power.

Different races and individuals within have varying resilience to the One Ring.

Let me tell you how it will be
There's one for you nineteen for me

Faramir.
t. Dentard

uh what? did you just forget what thread you were in after the first word? and why did you end that with T? did something cut you off? is there more?

Cause he would have taken the ring himself. See gollum’s story line. Ring was taken by force, instantly raped his mind afterwards. If Elrond murdered the Numenorian King it would have been the biggest shit show in all of middle earth. The elves would be battling men and Sauron would have been laughingng all the way back to baradur
