This looks like a list made trough strawpoll, where some people gave answers as joke and the guy who made the pic just let it slide.
Return of the Living Dead. My obsession with that movie makes Mark Kermode's fixation on The Exorcist seem like casual interest!!!FACT!!!
How do you watch something over and over again and not get bored?
My dad watches Apocolypse Now yearly for some reason and I never understood why besides it's a good film. I tried to ask him why but he just said it was because it was his favorite film.
I didn't even rewatch movies or tv shows as a kid. If there was rerun episode I'd just play on my gameboy or outside instead.
The more familiar with something you become, the more you notice about it when exposed again. Any movie worth watching can't be fully dissected after one viewing no matter who is watching it.
That's a good explanation. I think my problem is that I either have a good idea what it's about, it was a bad movie and I don't want to bother re-watching it, or I just don't care enough about some movies to find out.
Yeah and I can understand that. I don't mean to imply you can't get the gist of a movie in one watching but while not common I've had multiple experiences where I had a neutral or even negative view of a movie the first time I saw it and my opinion improved drastically the second time.
Aliens. Well over a hundred times.
It's the journey user, not the destination.
That's a good point. I've heard of some movies having enough subtlety to them that you have to at least watch it twice to notice all the 'hint's. But most of those usually get explained when I browse through threads on stuff I watched. Which movies did you rewatch that changed your opinion of them?
This
The Nice Guys
was thinking the exact thing. completely random. true kino mixed in with troll stuff.
Monty Python's Holy Grail. Had always enjoyed the sketch comedy but found the film harder to follow the first time through. Way of the Gun was much better on the second viewing. Temple of Doom while the weakest of the Indy trilogy made me realize upon later, adult viewings that it was still better than 90% of contemporary action/adventure movies.
You get something new out of it every time if you try. A greater appreciation. Kino worth watching is owed this.
Never knew Temple of Doom was considered the weakest, that's interesting. Monty Python was fun to watch and I remember the rabbit bit the most. It definitely deserves to be watched by new viewers and quoted from for so long.
That's probably the real reason my dad watches Apocalypse Now so much. He could probably recite the thing by heart and explain the detail and intent on every scene. I hope I can find something like that one day.
>Hot FUZZ
Fucking based. I watch that movie at least 5 times/year.
The weakest of the original three. The newest is the weakest.
