Why is Western the best genre, and what are your favorite westerns?
Western Thread
I've only see The Assassination of Jesse James and A Fistful of Dollars but I'm interested in getting into westerns, will be monitoring this thread
I hope a neo western is cool
Well your first step should probably be the other movies in the Dollars trilogy. If you want more Leone after that, One Upon A Time In The West is one of the best westerns of all time.
Haven't seen that one, but I will now.
Literally capeshit before capeshit.
What a retarded zoomer thing to say.
Less onions though
Thoughts?
If only they grew up with cowboy role models instead of spandex wearing faggots.
BANE?
It's alright.
The cowboy stereotype is as outdated as the stereotype those faux gentleman fedora tipping neckbeards who think they're from the 1930s are trying to emulate. Tried and worn out cliches that don't fit in modern times without coming off as cringeworthy, edgy and laughably lacking in self awareness.
The Searchers
The wild Bunch
Once Upon a Time in the West
High Noon
Unforgiven
it's not and there will be blood.
john wayne does look like a flaming homosewxual though

such a rad poster
I loved the beginning of the movie. Just seeing the townsfolk go about their business before the spooky shit goes down.
I'm a Chambara/Wuxia fan myself.
This is a actually surprisingly good to watch. But then again I'm a sucker for those strangely passive 70s movies

Why did the movie have to suck?
That was a real tragedy. Instead of classic acid western they went for the transformers crowd. Wtf were they thinking?
As for recent ones Hostiles was surprisingly good.
