I agree with you on that one. This borders between dedicated fan project and modest tv butget so closely it's almost surreal. I have to believe that the majority is having a good time behind cameras and are just happy getting paid, at least that's what I think about the prison break brothers.

Mostly independent, and once a year they all crossover in what is essentially a movie split in three or four episodes, one of each show. But the crossovers are usually self-contained stories. You can skip them or watch just them pretty easily.

the flash and supergirl are such frustrating shows to watch. it has so much potential, the cast is amazing and even the shitty directing, cheesy lines, SJW BS and shitty effects ca be overlooked but they always ruin it by throwing sandwiching in some generic power rangers tier threat. I wish they would go more with the interpersonal drama of having super powers more and deeper into the relationships and get more fine grain with the characters. People watch these shows because they like the actors more than anything. It's insane how good they are if you think about it because they are literally carrying these incredibly shitty shows on their backs like champs.
I actually think it's the opposite. Don't get me wrong, I actually agree, I am catching up on Supergirl and I strangely found myself enjoying the shenanigans with Cat Grant the most. It's like watching J. Jonah Jameson with a 50 year old milf pussy but instead of claiming he's a menace for years when there's nothing else Spider-man can do to prove otherwise, she actually wants to brand Supergirl as her own, that her news source is the Supergirl's news source, that makes so much sense and their relationship is interesting too.
So, yeah, while that part is definitely enjoyable, the problem is that the effects for alien shit are too shitty and not as interesting, so instead of removing that completely they should try to focus to make that interesting already, it's unbalanced. They concentrate way too much on Girl and forget that she's supposed to be Super, because all Super stuff is underwhelming.
