>What the heck is Svengoolie? Svengoolie is one of the last great Late Night Horror Hosts still on the air. Think Elvira but instead of a hot woman it's a fat old man who lives in a coffin and get pelted with rubber chickens.

Tonight's Movie: The Evil of Frankenstein Year: 1964 Director: Freddie Francis Writers: Anthony Hinds (screenplay) (as John Elder)
Description: Hardly the best of Hammer Studios' Frankenstein epics, The Evil of Frankenstein is too much the mixture as before to be truly memorable. Back in business once more is Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing), who finds his fabled monster (Kiwi Kingston) frozen in a block of ice. Once the creature is thawed out, the Baron, worried that the big lug might develop a mind of his own, engages the services of a hypnotist (Peter Woodthorpe). Instead of keeping the monster docile, the hypnotist decides to use old "Frankie" for his own evil designs, and we're off and running again.

Svengoolie is wasted potential. It's only on once a week on some weird channel no one watches and this like the 4th fucking week in a row where the movie is just some shitty film no one wants to watch. It's not even one of the better shitty Frankenstein films. Why do you even bother with these threads anymore.
Isaiah Thomas
Because I'm a boomer and I like watching movies with Yea Forums
Settling in to paint more miniatures, eat eggs and vegetarian sausage patties, and watch some Sven Kino.
David Cooper
I'M SO SCARED.
Camden Evans
cunny
Anthony Parker
It’s something to kill time with between episodes of The Last Drive-In.
Caleb Garcia
Name a shittier Frankenstein monster to have your brain put into. >you can't
Christopher Martinez
>The Last Drive-In. where can we watch that? I don't have shudder.
Benjamin Roberts
It’s not about the movie you dumb incel
Mason Green
Painting miniatures, eating a roast beef sandwich and some spicy chips, and watching Sven.
Austin Jenkins
What's it about? The oddball sound effects that are thrown it during the movie? The conversation between 3 people who actually use these threads? Svengoolie's corny one liners? Explain it to me. If you're gonna do a horror host thing, it should last all night and have a variety of movies playing with much more of the host in between commercials. Watching him now is unwatchable.
Jaxson Moore
You are a good person. What kind of spicy chips?
Liam Nelson
Not the guy you asked, but for me it's a comy nostalgia for the horror hosts I grew up watching when i was a kid. I'm the age my dad was when we watched Drive-In Theater back in the late 80s. Now I'm a dad and I paint 40K minis with my son and we watch Sven together.
Nicholas Thomas
Tonight? Lay's Flamin' Hot. Last week, Sabritones.
Gabriel Sanchez
Very nice. What kind of miniatures?
Angel Jones
Can I pay for a svengoolie t-shirt with a check?
Isaac Taylor
Sisters of Battle.
I don't see why not.
Gabriel Rogers
No. Fucking. Personal. CHECKS!
Also nice. Imperial Guard for me. Want to get them finished so I can move to LotR stuff and the Last Dragonborn mini I got from Modiphius.
Ryder Perez
I have a small detachment of Catachans as allies (bought my first squad back when Armored Fist squads were still a thing GW sold). But my real army is my Sisters, which I've been collecting since 2001.
Leo Walker
Robert DeNiro.
Kevin Hill
I used to play Vanilla Marines and Tau. Had a smattering of other minis. I haven’t played the game proper since... 5th edition? I do Kill Team sometimes now and like painting when the mood strikes. My true love is RPGs and Historical Board Wargames.
Benjamin Gutierrez
A comfy thread about old horror hosts now has me feeling double comfy with thoughts about Avalon Hill. Also, fuck the Tau and their marker lights. My mid-range shooting is powerless against those damn things.
Lucas Ortiz
I grew up in MN, MST3K is in my blood but I love Sven too. I play a lot of GMT stuff, but recently bought a guys Dad’s old collection. Full of Avalon Hill, Victory Games, GDW, etc stuff.
Julian Price
Before we derail this into a /tg/ thread, I'll say GDW was awesome.
On topic: This flick is more entertaining than I expected.
Jeremiah Williams
>hating on anything based Cushing was in Bitch get out.
Kayden Bennett
Even Cushing didn't like most of the bullshit Hammer was giving him. He'd be on my side.
Gabriel Foster
Gotta love those old school titties.
Leo Reyes
Why are old school tiddies so fucking amazing? I love Hammer films mostly because of those tits!
Jonathan Nguyen
I wonder if a lot of it just has to do with the old school footage making them look flawless. Less details and all that.
Juan Fisher
fuck u last week’s movie was 10/10 and the week before as well. This one does suck tho
Gabriel Cook
WAKE! Oh crap, that's too awake, get the chloroform!
Luke Adams
It's not as good as last week's, but it's entertainingly crappy.
Nathaniel Smith
>afreecatv >Africa TV Well, that explains the shitty quality of the stream, I guess.
Bad opinion. Hammer is good if you're an edgelord who likes a little more gore but the performances are not nearly as memorable as the original Universal films outside of Peter Cushing as Victor Frankenstein.
