unironically pure kino. Absolutely haunting to watch as a child
Don Bluth is fucking amazing at directing animated movies. Absolute travesty that he stopped making films.
Starship Troopers
I wish she was my mommy
This.
Read the original comic and it was horse shit. No bullet bending even.
All of them
The Shining
This, also one of my favorite books but totally different.
No Country For Old Men
The Godfather
Jurassic Park (fuck off rebbit)
The mouse sabotaged all his independent projects. He had no chance.
Kubrick was the only director who could make Stephen King interesting
LOTR
Forrest Gump and Big Fish.
I was about to say Forrest Gump. The book is weird as fuuuuck. Instead of running for 4 years and playing ping-pong, Forrest becomes an astonaut and is shot into space with a gorilla. The gorilla breaks the ship and it crashes on an island in the South Pacific, where Forrest teaches a cannibal king to play chess. Fucking weeeeiiird.
Every movie based on a mark Miller comic
I enjoy the LOTR movies more than the books. The movies feel like there's an actual sense of urgency to the plot, while the book takes place over what, 25 years or something? Plus, the movies cut out the Tom Bombadil and Scouring of the Shire bullshit subplots.
Also, the Extended Editions are how ALL Director's Cuts should be handled. I hope Denis has seen those as he starts editing Dune.
>he never watched Lawnmower man
I just wanna knock her up so bad
That sounds like kino instead of Boomer masterbation.
what was the movie like
The book itself has this back and forth with the pacing, where it goes from a more urgent vibe in a chapter to a slow vibe in the next, continuing to go back and forth in such a way that it prevents it feeling as exciting I suppose.
