Why was such a based villain allowed to be in such a shit movie? And make no mistake, Oblivion is shit. As soon as Morgan "I'll be in your movie for a ham sandwich" Freeman shows up, it goes straight down the shitter. Even Cruise can't save it at that point.
You can see the support 0:02. Kind of a obvious thing to miss...

Oblivion was a solid 7.5/10 for me. It was like a high-tier Netflix movie.

>7.5
What gives it the .5?

Yeah I really enjoyed it. I knew nothing about the movie when I went in and I was properly led into the decent twist of the alien(s) being the orbiting ship and using Cruise. Does Yea Forums not agree that the story was fairly original? Also, the visuals and sound were top notch as others have said. On this first viewing, the things that bothered me were those "hydro-rigs", the unnecessary interest by the tet in the survivor of the old human ship (was this in orbit the whole time and the tet never salvaged it?) and letting a clearly wayward and lying Tom Cruise clone into the vulnerable core of the ship just to get this survivor.

>It was like a high-tier Netflix movie. u better be joking kike.
It's often accused of being a ripoff of Moon (2009), but if the director's commentary is to be believed, the director had been trying to get the film funded for a long time before it entered production. The timeline doesn't really add up for it being a stolen concept. Also, Tom says to the Tet, when talking about the survivor, "we make a more effective team." I assume the Tet was interested in her because it thought she might make Cruise more effective in fighting the scavs, which is fair.
OST is god tier.

I liked Edge of Tomorrow more. While both played out like video game movies, Oblivion had that generic "we are resistance who loves preserving some old World crap, please help us" crap that tends to weight down stories and water them out. Edge of Tomorrow had a more fun approach to the story using the time-reset plot device.

If you let it loop it looks like he just keeps trying to escape the same way and the same guy keeps shooting the rope over and over again. I'm entertained by this premise
>can't even understand a simple movie Tet was interested in the girl because she never got her DNA for cloning. And probably even the alien tech couldn't find it since the ship was drifting.
Nathan Young
Haha, that's pretty funny :D

That is literally what I said you absolute fucking retard.
I fucking love the drones in oblivion. They're so well designed too.

Why can't blacks act?

Oblivion's only defects is that is predictable and derivative. But is really enjoyable and well made, so I don't care. Well designed, acted, shot. Earnest.
