DCfag here and this is a step in the right direction. The only move for DC (apart from ignoring the show outright) is coming back with a Superman that goes the complete opposite way, someone more true to the comics and a more optimistic character.

However I think the show hits more at Marvel/Disney. It just uses DC analogues because that's what the comic uses.

Specially, Butcher just standing there in the final scene was sorely disappointing.
