For me, Chernobyl was much more horrific and scary (since I’ve been a child it’s freaked me out) and to see it tumblr’d in that way is hilariously weird.
Not to mention the events of Chernobyl are well documented. The Franklin expedition? I never cared about it until the show. And it’s a mystery what happened to most of those guys. So therefore feels less fucked up that tumblr got to it.

Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting. It was basically more cruel in how it killed people and more strategic in who it targeted (mostly officers or other critical people).
It was also a lot creepier and never clearly described, just that it was vaguely like an oversized bear with a huge beck, that could appear and disappear out of the ice (literally out of the ground Gore was walking on, in his case) without anyone noticing it or being able to track it, and sometimes it would walk like a human on only its hind legs.

Just about done reading Midnight In Chernobyl. Compared to his description in the book, it almost seems like the miniseries exaggerated how rude and mean Dyatlov was. Does anyone else agree?
