You can try to make it sound funny all you want, but that's literally what horror movies are.

Jumpscares are this.

noooooo! you can't use a technique that keeps viewers on edge and makes them mistrust what they're viewing! it's taking time away from what really matters, CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!

Attached: 1517895200066.jpg (988x1059, 148K)

I am not the man who started this. That man, despite having opposing opinions on horror, I greatly admire. I have, whoever, surpassed him in his own game. I am the man who will script the rules, and thus the next most important person in the development of this game.

Since people cannot keep up with my superior skills and knowledge in this game I decided to publish official rules & some basic techniques to help the game skill get higher. Let's start with the theory of arrows.
>THE RULES OF THE GAME
by GigaChad
1.
THE THEORY OF ARROWS
This is just basic knowledge for anybody that isn't a newfag but you guys all are so I will explain it anyway. Frankly you can skip this.
By posting >[statement] and attaching an onionsboy image you are calling him an onionsboy. When this is posted whoever stated that statement is objectively an onionsboy. (Law of Rage
To counter this, you must post >>[statement]. This implies that the person that implies that the statement is onions is an onionsboy and the statement he implies is onions is not onions.
To counter this too, you must add another arrow, which makes it >>>[statement]. This reverts it back to >[statement]. Similarly, adding yet another arrow, which would make it >>>>[statement], reverts it back to >>[statement].
As you can imagine, >>>>>[statement] reverts to >[statement], and so on until the post reaches letter limit. (more on letter limit in Part 2)
Not using any arrows makes it your own statement.
As you can see, arrowX[odd number] is negative (-) to the original (non-arrowed) statement, while arrowX[even number] is positive (+) to the original statement. (order 1) This is assuming the attached pic is an onionsboy pic. But if it is a GigaChad pic it makes arrowX[odd number] + and arrowX[even number] -, (order 2) as should be obvious. In the case of an attached pic of neither onions nor GigaChad it should be clear if it is order 1 or order 2, or if it is order 3 which is neutral or order 4 which is randumb A.K.A. could be 1, 2 or 3.

Attached: 1564246506226.png (726x812, 416K)

The "original" statement might have been posted before or made up on the spot by using 1 or more arrows.
Now for the real thing.
2.
BASIC TECHNIQUES
I will not share all my techniques, certainly not the most advanced ones, like this. They will be gradually revelaed in exciting duels. Of course, I will soon have to continue innovating.
On the Letter Limit: we all know of the letter limit. As after reaching the letter limit more arrows cannot be added, a duel between 2 players of great dedication (autism) will eventually reach the limit, thus everything depends on the post to reach the limit. The first to post can, then, manipulate the result of the duel by choosing the right amount of letters.
On Anticipation: As an example, Player1 can post >>>>>[statement] right after posting >>>[statement] anticipating >>>>[statement] by Player2. In this situation Player2 has obviously been outplayed. (if he himself does not outplay Player1, of course). As for a situation of for example Player1 anticipating with a ton of arrows before Player2 has reached such a volume of arrows, then that is a win for Player1.
On Contradiction: For example, Player1 posts >>>[statement] with onionsboy image and Player2 posts >>>[statement] with GigaChad image, then it is a situation of Neutrality and both players are losers.
There are many more techniques, that might be a way to beat out the above ones, but I will not share right now & herep.

ON THE EXCITEMENT OF THE DUEL
We shall have fun games ahead of us. Overly-serious redditors pretending to be oldfags will seethe at us, no doubt. But those times will be looked at fondly in the future. Let's see what kind of horror fan will prosper, and who will give up.
Good duelling!

There's good jumpscares, and there's really, really bad jumpscares, which are 95%

But almost all good jumpscares happen in movies that are memed as "bone chilling slow burn". Because, again, that's literally what a good horror movie is.

This whole memery is just fucking retarded. It's not "Jumpscares vs Slow movies"
