It's pretty much impossible to overstate the fact that the visuals in valerian are literally the only thing worthwhile about the film. Watching it in IMAX with ear plugs in to block out the acting and story would probably be the best way to see it.

Valerian kinda felt like those movies where a book was adapted into a movie too short for it, they hitned at all these things in the backgrounds, like the many levels on that spacestation, only for a throwaway scene
