oh wow... Bravo Nolan.
Oh wow... Bravo Nolan
Bravo my dude.
>Banana peel
You know, it could have been icy out there. Never thought of that.
How does this get choreographed, let alone make it into the final cut? Does anyone in Hollywood actually know how to do their job?
Nolan is a hack and has never made a good movie.
>Christopher "no second takes" Nolan
Based.
Nolan is the ultimate plebtest. Anyone that thinks his movies are above mediocre should never be taken seriously in any matters.
he is the opposite of David Fincher, Nolan despises doing scenes more than a handful of times, regardless of the results. So most likely this garbage was the best he could have edited together, to top it all off Nolan probably didnt have his heart in TDKR like he does with other projects, so that shows.
Meanwhile David Fincher will re-shoot a scene in-excess of 10+ takes for extremely simple scenes, let alone elaborate or complex ones. Fincher is happy with having 30 different takes and choosing his favorite one in editing.
To be completely fair this isn't how it's edited in the movie. There's atleast one other scene, or the tumbler scene that's longer before it cuts to him dead.
kino pose
is the joke that the webm disappears after you watch it?
that's realistic tho
Whats wrong with this shot though?
Front guy slips a bit on impact and his head hits the fuselage. Not a big "fail" but nitpickers point it out as "epic cringe".
there’s stories of Fincher deleting dozens of takes on set within ear reach actors
The prestige was really really good
*record scratch*
Yup, that is me...
Nolan peaked with Memento honestly.
He threw a batarang
It's interesting how Nolanfags used to compare Nolan to Kubrick when Kubrick would do so many takes that he would borderline make his actors mentally-ill.
Nothing wrong with that
I havent seriously watched a movie in 8+ months. AMA
Bad example.
his next kino will be elliptical like Memento
I like the part where the cops charge about a hundred goons with fully automatic assault rifles in a straight line on an open street to engage them in a hand to hand brawl and like 2 of them are killed
Nolan does 60 takes in his head beforehand then tells his actors exactly what to do. He is ascended Kubrick.
do people just straight up ignore scenes such as these when they sing their praises for this movie

That's the result of Nolan shooting on film. He does everything the old fashioned way. Every shot counts with all of the limitations of film Fincher having digital cinematography and split screen editing is a godsend for him.
