$100 it socks

Sock my dock foggot

Why is Dune so glorified anyway? It's shit.

If you could read and read the book then you would understand why.

Are those just fucking regular ass helicopters? lmao

Hopefully soon

kino lynch movie and good novel

True. I don't read, so I guess I'm missing out. I'm trying to save reading novels, books etc for when I'm 50+

Based retard.

Hopefully soon, but I'm very skeptical of Dennis Villanueve being able to make a true Dune kino.

>Since I was 12 years old there was a book I read, which is ‘Dune,’ which is my favorite book, with ‘1984.’ After ‘Prisoners,’ the producer of Alcon asked me what I would like to do next. I said, ‘Dune,’ spontaneously, that if anyone could get me the rights for ‘Dune’ — and I knew it was very difficult to get those rights. For me it was just a dream, and I guess I’m lucky that Mary Parent from Legendary got the rights and offered it to me. I can’t say no to that. I have images that I am haunted by for 35 years. I will not say no to that. That’s going to be the project of my life.

OK Denis, show me your turboautism. I am ready.

How do you know its shit if you never read them?

Gotta have something to look forward to in those late years.

I was like this until I watched what Lynch could do back then, it was far from perfect but it was a good job. Denis will deliver.

>make 2 parter
>part 1 flops
>part 2 canceled
Looking forward to it

that picture triggers my autism so much
>choppers all over the place

Seen the Lynch one, didn't appreciate it.

It makes me so excited to read these enthusiastic words about one of my favorite books of all time. After BR2049 I am filled with faith on this one.

The thought of what he done to the Blade runner universe being put into the Dune universe makes my dungus

>dune
Jej. Keked. And lold

The Lynch version is cut to shit and filled some crazy ass scenes that don't happen.

It's ok, you still get to enjoy your shiny episode 9 this year.

But I loved Villeneuve's Bladerunner, so maybe like this user I'm pretty excited.

I don't mean anything bad, it's my most anticipated movie, every day is hell while I wait.

Based Denny

I'm so excited, flop of the century incoming

He should change his name to Denis Muad'dib. He will lead us to kino.

Nah mate, your dads dick already got that award.

What do we think about best girl Lady Jessica?

I am ready

Top tier casting

We need a giant Joi roaming the desert that everyone can ride upon.

Attached: Joi.jpg (1280x720, 73K)

>I'm trying to save reading novels, books etc for when I'm 50+
Fucking end yourself

MOMMY

But then I won't get to Age 50?

The whole casting is great, he even got Zendaya in the movie to lure people in to watch it and put her in a role in which she's told to fuck off for a majority of the movie.

Imagine she had to pee in the desert but you know that she can't waste her water so you offer to lay under her while she pisses in your mouth so the water wasn't wasted. Just a funny idea haha

More reason to start reading now then user. It's not that hard.

I did, still think it's glorified shit.

That's not very based user but don't worry, you will change your mind after Denis movie.

With the existing cast? I doubt that.

What's wrong with the cast? Apart from Zendaya of course but we already know she won't be in it that much.

I don't know about you but I cringe every time I see Timothee acting

I've only seen him in Hostiles and he got killed almost instantly so I can't really judge him.

you don't have $100 because your mom won't give you two years' advance on your allowance.

dude, everything's shit (rolls eyes)

in the film the blades will flap up and down like bird wings lolol

Like my big flappy dick haha

Don't let this topic sink into the quicksand haha (That's a Dune joke about sand)

>yfw dune kino already exists

What was with the nipple plugs? They were in the Lynch movie but I don't remember them in the book.

This. Dune doesn't have enough popular appeal to make a profit on the first film, let alone break even. It's dead on arrival.

Probably next spring. Big movies with Fall/Winter releases usually have teasers out by the first quarter of the year.

It was original idea from Lynch, not in the books though, game copied the movie this time

Yes, I'm sure the same was said of Star Wars and Game of Thrones when they first came out but those obviously died instantly too.

It's gonna flop so hard

If they make tv series in the vein of the prequel books, it will be very similar to game of thrones but in space, I can see it succeed

Imagine trying to fit the first season of Game of Thrones into two films. That's what Villeneuve is trying to do with Dune.

That's inevitable. No matter how much you streamline and strip down the story to its bare essentials you'll still have a hell of a time marketing it.

I fully agree with you, but it'll never happen.

Lynch got most of the important parts into a 2 hour movie, enough to make it work anyway. Spreading it over two movies at say roughly around 3 hours each will be enough.

>dropping deakins
Why did he do it bros?

There's a void left by got and Dune could fill it.

because Greg Fraser is an even better option for Dune

>Dune looking like this

Muh fucking dick

The Machiavellian political aspects of Dune are conducive to an episodic format. It's too much to take in all at once, which is why the film will flop UNLESS they completely dumb it down to Transformers-tier science fiction for the Chinese market.

That's the best part. Hollywood looses money and we get kino.

Denis is also working on the tv show as well though isn't he?

I think a satisfying balance of substantive themes and entertainment is more than possible. The movie would have to be long (3.5 hours at least), but I doubt any of us would mind that. Personally I think it would be more rewarding to see Paul's arch covered in one sitting than across several seasons of TV or several films spaced apart by a matter of years.
Adapting Dune is like one of mankind's last eternal challenges.

>Oy Vey, just give your shekels to WarnerMedia's new streaming service so you can watch a webshow based on Brian Herbert's steaming pile of shit novel about the (((Bene Gesserit)))

>Paying to watch tv shows
>2019

>Adapting Dune is like one of mankind's last eternal challenges
It's the film equivalent of invading Russia in winter

Rogue One was extremely visually impressive. It was the poor writing that ruined it. Like every other film/show today. We're living in the golden age of cinematography, paired with the worst writing ever done for the silver screen.

I don't get this meme, I read it recently and I could picture it all easily working as a movie.

He's "directing" the first episode.

I rrad it, but afyer the second book, nothing goes right for anybody

How would you adapt the dinner party for film? So much is revealed through internal monologue.

>already finished filming
>not a single photo from the set or concept art leaked
>not a single promo pic
why they do this

Attached: 1508597334202.png (657x527, 31K)

so is your mom

So Yea Forumsedditors wouldn't spam the catalog shitposting about it like they did the Star Wars leaks
