Apparently not a single one of you who continues to praise 1993 Jurassic Park has ever seen that film on bluray in motion. The CG looks very dated. It looks like it came straight out of the 1990s. JP CG was based on live models, sometimes downsized or life-size, in some cases blended with the model. They were experts in the craft. In JW it is all computerized, like the clone troopers in Star Wars. The exception being the dying dino that was a puppet.

Really, the impressive effects of Jurasic Park are the work of some of the best artists and technicians of Hollywood at that time: Dennis Muren, Phil Tippet, Stan Winston, John Bell... mixed with Steven Spielberg's amazing direction, the John Williams' score and the memorable sound design. It's just a lot of good-old talent working together. That's why, despite showing its date in a few things, the movie it's just a superior spectacle than the modern JP films.

That's because in JP1, all the CG dinosaur scenes were animated in stop-motion by Phil Tippet first. Then the CG animators basically mocapped/rotoscoped his existing footage with the CG models. Tippet, an experience danimator, did all the animations and nuances for them and the CG animators didn't have to try and do any of that themselves.
