Why does there exist literally only one clip of him speaking in his "normal" voice?

Why would he rock the boat?

He speaks in his normal voice all the time, retard. That loud obnoxious Iago voice he puts on isn't that much different from his regular speaking voice. He was a cast member on a season of SNL in 1980 before he developed "that" voice and was him speaking normally. He does a podcast every week where he's speaking in his normal voice. He has a documentary where he speaks with his regular voice. He always speaks normally but you retards cannot tell the difference between that and his character voice for literally no reason at all.

Dedication

He faked the "normal" voice so people would shut the fuck up about it.

More impressed that there's no audio of Teller's voice out there.

I have some more. Check out the clip of him walking into Caroline's on Broadway in the trailer for Gilbert (2017). So many memories, here on this stage. Like if Jackie Mason rose from his coffin and started talking to Mr. Renfield.

Also James acted just like Weurd Al when Gil er grossed him out for trying to retake "plebium"

You can hear it under his voice once you know it

How can you be this delusional? He does Q&A's all the time. The only time he doesn't talk is in the act.

Some people just talk like that. I had a professor with a similar voice, look and demeanor

He just talked on TV this week they made a big deal out of it. They were selling something and the product was so good it made him talk. Integrity

Oh see you're confusing the two levels of "The Gilbert Voice" with The Gilbert Voice vs. The Real Gilbert. You think he sits around and grates on Dara and Max like that? It's unnatural.

He speaks frequently on shows and documentaries. The silence is a stage persona. He's actually quite the expert on the history of magic and the real brains in the duo.

The voice he casually uses in his podcast interviews is his NATURAL speaking voice. It's not exaggerated or an act of any kind.It only when he gets excited when he starts to sound like the character and not the man. He doesn't put on a slight Gilbert voice when he's talking to the people he admires or respects.

Penn literally says he hates magic all the time.

he talked on The Big Bang Theory multiple times.

No that's the voice that makes the funny in his head come out so it has to be on but it's DC not AC and can be precisely throttled. Listen to clips of his real voice when he's dead serious and comedy is not on the table.

Joey is that you? We talked about this yesterday.

>Beginning in the late 1940s, Redd claimed to be "Korla Pandit",[2] a French-Indian musician from New Delhi; however, Redd was actually African-American. Redd maintained the Korla Pandit persona—both in public and in private—until the end of his life.
>Redd's sons had heard rumors about their father's ethnicity as they grew older, but were not told of their father's African-American ethnicity until after his death.

That's literal bullshit. He isn't telling jokes and it wouldn't make sense to use a voice in the context of what I mentioned previously. He's being serious whenever he's interviewing Dick Van Dyke about his drinking problems or any even remotely serious. he's not silly doing silly Gilbert nor is he amping it up. Actually sit down and listen to some of his interviews before making such a dumb assumption. I'm telling you for a fact it's not a comedy situation.
