This is the rage inducing part. A real 40 year old virgin, or a 53 year old virgin for example, doesn’t just “give up”. He is doomed from day 1 with weak muscles, thin hair, and other genetic markers that cause females to run away.
Never had a girlfriend, never kissed a girl, never had sex. When this movie came out my brother texted me and said it reminded him of me. Unfortunately I don’t have women throwing themselves at me like in the movie, we don’t all live in a Hollywood fantasy land.

If you've never had sex and you're 40 you're not a "regular" person. Sex has such a profound effect on a human being and their psyche that the lack of it physically manifests in many ways given our social and biological makeup. You look up a list of historical virgins, and you'll find nothing but eccentrics, the furthest thing from "regular".
