>After all these years, finally... Batman begins.
>...Bruce?
DUN dun dun dun dun

Batman (1989) & Batman Returns (1992) are better than the overrated Nolan Trilogy. Facts.

Bump

How can one user be this wrong

I can't

Second act feels incredibly rushed and forced. Like a origin story wasn't good enough and they just add to squeeze some villain showdown into it at the end as well.

that's the third act you humongous plebo

Batman 1989. Jack Nicholson alone elevates it to pure kino

I wouldn't expect a zoomer like you to understand, but they have some of the best visuals and scenes ever depicted in a superhero movie. The villains are treated and used a lot better. Whereas, in a film like Batman Begins you get Katie Holmes electrocuting Scarecrow (who's only on-screen for like 4 minutes tops) in the face with a tazer. Lame. Not to mention the soundtrack and music by Danny Elfman which is superior in every way shape or form to the music in the Nolan films.

I can't

>Cartoon
How old are you 12

DKR part2

Bruce is an idiot and needs everyone to do everything for him

His training is lame and watered down

Batman spends all of 4 minutes on Gothams crime

Ra's is severely watered down

Ra's plan is retarded

Katie Holmes is a bad actress and Rachel Dawes is a bad character

They replaced Harvey Dent with her - all her ADA stuff is what he should be doing

Their "romance" is lame. There is no chemistry, the performance is bad, the dialogue bad.

Its the sort of shit a studio insists on or you get taught in screenplay writing course.

I can. For example Batman and Robin.

this 'cartoon' understands Batman better than anything else before or after it

It has a good idea, approach, aesthetic, and look but it is too busy with other things and I think Nolan the euphoric fedora tipper is too embarrassed at the idea of doing a superhero movie and just subtracts too much as a result

Batman: The Animated Series was kino
Cringe

Batman has like 5-10 minutes screen time

Batman is a violent psychopath murdering people

The film is preoccupied with production design because the director is uninterested in the material

a bluray boxset is out now of the whole series, the second series, Phantasm, and SubZero

S O U L

Rutger Hauer was in this

Danny Elfman's score is what makes this so amazing.

and totally wasted
Nolan likes to do a stunt casting with washed up former stars
Batman Begins had Rutger Hauer
Dark Knight had Eric Roberts
Inception had Tom Berenger

That's not Danny Elfman that's Shirley Walker
She uses Elfmans theme as the leitmotif

shit I never even noticed that

> and I think Nolan the euphoric fedora tipper is too embarrassed at the idea of doing a superhero movie and just subtracts too much as a result
I think a good example of this is how the Waynes died
Instead of seeing The Mark of Zorro they're at the fucking Opera
Old matinee just not classy enough for Nolan

Too bad the climax completely shat the bed.

TDK is better.

its a little better, it doesn't have returns weird amount of cheese, but it still deviates a lot from what Batman is

My mistake. I just assumed he composed the music in this movie as well as the show.

>Nobody cares about Batman Begins.
>Becomes "underrated".
>More and more people who think it's "underrated" begin to overrate.
>Becomes overrated.

The Circle of Life.

Pleb faggot

Tim Burton's Batman

>if you want Batman to be the star of a Batman movie you're a pleb faggot
>if you don't want Batman murdering people you're a pleb faggot

>nolan's begins
>solid first two acts, terrible third
>burton's batman
>good first two acts, terrific third

uh sweetie...

Yes?

>I wouldn't expect a zoomer like you to understand, but they have some of the best visuals and scenes ever depicted in a superhero movie.

It has some good sets and great art direction but some of it is very clearly reused as they couldn't really capture the scope of a city with sets.

>Better use of villains

Yeah the jokers big plot is kidnapping the main girl and hold her hostage because he has a hard on for her. Cringe and clichéd.

Now this is a proper answer.

Batman Returns
the series is kino, but this flick is capeshit. Mostly flashbacks and crying about some bitch who only appears in this and is never mentioned again.

The whole movie is great, but the ten minute flashback that shows the Joker mentally and physically torturing a ~13 yo Robin that eventuates in the Joker's death is some of the best Batman material ever produced

Bingo.

>Batman murders people
Anyone who continues to nitpick this never read the early comics whatsoever. He murdered people in those too, so quit crying.

In no way is BB overrated

Batman isn't in those movies tho that's some murderer

see you haven't made it out of high school

Thinking it's anything more than a solid-but-passable 3/5 is overrating it.

Nolan is such a shit filmmaker, god you're all fucking NPC redditors you have no fucking original thought

Every single fucking thing Nolan has done is one of the most overrated movies of all time you utter mong.

Say a better Batman movie
Retard

The Dark Knight is 4/5.

N P C N O L A N P L E B

This scene is better than anything in TDK or just about any other capeshit

Watchmen shits on it
BvS even shits on it

Ra's al ghul is easily one of the best Batman villains in film

I can't even name a more kino super hero movie!

Make way for some real kino.
