again not to put anyone down or make it seem like my time is more valuable than yours but i just can't put the time in for another big brother season every year. when i watch this show, i put 100% of myself into it. that means tarans updates each morning, feeds as soon as they wake up, and constantly keeping myself in the loop until i fall asleep. episodes, rhaps and other podcasts, along with shitposting and tweeting throughout the day too.
that's 3 months of my life already where i put everything to the side for Big Brother. other tv shows and video games and books and anything, all take lower priority during the 99 days Big Brother is on.
I'm not going to do that twice a year. It already hurts that I lose another month to BB due to Celebrity...no way I'm giving up another 2.5 months to Canada.

i'm in college so things are more flexible, but i also have a very packed and intense schedule, a pretty active social life, 8 hours of sleep every night, a 20 hour a week job, and excellent grades in all my courses. i still managed to do almost all of the things you mentioned for bbcan during the spring. i guess i didn't watch/read feeds literally every second of the day like i'm doing now, and of course there's no /bb/ and reddit and twitter are insufferable communities. in general i've just been pretty good at managing my time so that i can stick in a few hours worth of whatever the fuck personal time during each day.
also, my job is really me just sitting waiting for shit to happen every so often, so i get done problem sets and listen to rhap quite often.
i'm going to be on the intense bbus schedule for the first month of this semester. bb19/20 slowed down enough that it didn't matter but i have a feeling this season will pick up come mid august. so we'll see how that goes. i say i do all this shit but i also constantly feel at my absolute limit with it.
i don't mean to brag either, and in my opinion it's better to ignore it if it gives you time in the day for other things. but personally bb is oftentimes the way i can relax and get away from people so it's rather helpful.
