Depressing Movies/Shows

What's the saddest, most heartbreaking, and most viscerally depressing piece of media you've seen? Like, what have you viewed that just made you feel like total shit? I'm talking about stuff that makes you feel existentially insecure, like you get the sense that your life could end at any moment and it wouldn't make the slightest difference in the grand scheme of the universe.

I'll start with pic related, as it ends on an extremely pessimistic note that gave me the bad feels.

Soviet cinema has lots of prime choices for this category.

I remember "Snowtown" making me feel extremely bad and uncomfortable.

Depressing in a good way, I'd say.

Bela Tarr films. Especially Werckmeister Harmonies and The Turin Horse. Some Angelopoulos films like Landscape in the Mist and Eternity and a Day.
This is a good list.

I haven't heard hardly anyone talk about pic related since it was first released, which is too bad because it's pretty damn grim and unsettling. A strange bearded homeless man who's possibly a demon worms his way into the lives of a suburban family, which eventually leads to insanity and violence.

This was probably the worst one I have seen recently.

Even just the OST of Last Life in the Universe puts me down.

Historical pieces on the BBC where they give out the roles of French Catholic queens and Norman lords to talentless sub Saharan African Jews like the platypus faced Sophie Okonedo.

>Last Life in the Universe
I could never find this in good quality. Was it ever released in HD?

Once Upon a Time in America

I never found any as well. AFAIK there's only the typical DVD quality.

This one hits pretty hard if you're a robot

Just pure misery. shitty locations, rape, violence and boredom.
