I remember this. I remember the descent of my hype as it played out.
Around 13 seconds in, I realized it was a Mask 2 trailer and my heart began to soar.
18 seconds: a dog that could clearly be fucking Milo picked it up and the happening levels began to rise.
21 seconds I see this fucking PeeWee Herman house and realize something's off immediately. The betrayal and disappointment hit hard, fast, right then. Like an instinct.
30 seconds in and I pretty much resigned to the fact that Jim Carrey wasn't in this.
Then Nightcrawler showed up, the retarded baby CGI, fuckin Malibu's Most Wanted guy showed up.
I was done before they even showed up and goddamn my disappointment was unfathomable at 1:30 when I saw that plastic fucking hair.
It was years before I actually watched it.
My only regret is that I didn't see this absolute fucking masterpiece sooner.
