People say this but even if that was the intent it doesn't really come through. Sure women can climb the social ladder to some extent in the world of the Witcher and aren't just relegated purely to kitchen and baby-making duty. But that messaging loses some impact when almost all your women are written like they're 1950s sitcom characters who are ultimately helpless without their man to bail them of out of their stupid, emotional decisions. Maybe it's progressive for Poland in the 90s but it would be lampooned for it's portrayal of women today in the US if they were actually examined by opinionated leftists.

I know Geralt also likes to beat the drum of acceptance for witchers, elves/dwarves, and some monsters but he's also a sucker that gets played by a fair number of people when he should really know better so I don't know if he's the best authority to have representing that viewpoint if you want people to know it's the "correct" opinion.
