They could do it about the stone and it would still be emotional but i think part of the charm of the marvel heroes, at least in the comics, comes from them dealing with relatable situations. I think a hero fighting against cancer would make for a pretty good movie and even an actually relevant movie for the super hero world. A movie capable of saying even cape movies can be taken seriously from time to time.

Then again i am the kind of person that also think a Batgirl movie should be about Barbara recovering from the killing joke. You know, someone that is strong enough to recovering and getting back up. I think that´s the kind of stuff that makes a character strong and interesting. I would take movies like that over overpowered characters that are never in any real danger any day but for some reason super hero movies don´t want to go there... except for maybe watchmen.
