That being said, this looks truly beautiful. Hit me up with some of them sea shanties and Dafoe/Pattinson acting like salty dogs for 2~ hours and I'd be happy regardless of what the story was, the fact that you see maybe one shot of Pattinson (possibly a dream sequence) fighting a mass of tentacles is just icing onna cake.

The witch director knows his shit, he makes atmospheric slow burn deep psychological horror. Yes I'm thinking he's based but not only that, he's using 35 mm BLACK AND WHITE film, and vintage lenses and authentic aspect ratio to add to the claustrophobic feeling and dread. Yes this will be the horror movie of the decade if not the best of the last 20 years.
