then why wouldn't he talk about Kubrick's Shining (a film he has praised before and given a 10/10)? It's pretty well known that it was Kubrick's favourite film (youtube.com/watch?v=exHvm8yXndQ) - at least while making the Shining and that TS wouldn't have existed as it did if Eraserhead didn't exist. He should have also talked about how Eraserhead influenced nearly all of Aronofsky's films (a director that Adam drools over) as well as EH influencing Terry Gilliam esp in films such as Brazil (a film that he also considers a 10/10). Sad to see his anally mathematical brain at work here that he can't enjoy a film if it doesn't necessarily have inherent meaning (which Eraserhead does have - he's just too slow to get it and too stuck up to admit he didn't get it)

Early Lynch had way more meaning that anything Jodo ever did. Anything he's done post-Twin Peaks is audience baiting though, and while that's not necessarily bad, a lot of it is intentionally devoid of meaning, but it's a little more thought out than
