>Makes over a billion dollars at the box office
How can one movie be so based?

Why are there so many 1B movies in last 5 years?
Because of more screens in the Pajeet and Chink market? Anyway, Disney is going to keep shitting out low-quality live-action remake films now because they know that these films will make a billion dollars at the box office despite them putting the minimum amount of effort into those movies. I hate how Disney seems to have become too big to fail right now.
>I hate how Disney seems to have become too big to fail right now.
Same but they still have massive flops. Nutcracker or Dumbo to name two recent.
India and China are getting more people with disposable incomes.
Correct.
When did Hollywood movies start showing in those markets? early 2000's?
My dick got hard when they referenced Lock stock & 2 smokin barrels
I'm sure it was before the 2000s. Maybe in the 90s or something. I don't know.
Idiot foreigners that you could jingle keys in front of for 90 minutes and they'd have repeat screenings.
That's why I disregard it when asshole companies pretend their domestic flop was a "success" because of international ticket sales.
Zoomskis
infaltion
its a success for the company if it makes money
Companies don't care if their films flop domestically if they make shitloads of money internationally because what matters in the end is the global box office.
At this point, I can only hope that Episode 9 flops. Disney needs to be humbled.
Captain Shoehorn comes to mind. It needed to have a second release to hit domestic projections. But the SJW's still cry victory
minions did too
the power of marketing
>Budget: $170 million
>Box office: $352.9 million
Dumbo is not even a flop
>blue and orange poster
What?
>Companies don't care if their films flop domestically if they make shitloads of money internationally because what matters in the end is the global box office.
Not exactly. Them doing successfully in the global box office sounds good in the press but it gets less meaningful if you know that they don't get a significant cut of the international box office.
Anything Disney shits out makes a Billion these days
Too-big-to-fail has all the markings of a bubble before it bursts. There is a lot of hope Disney will collapse and die within the next few years.
A bubble bursts precisely because nobody expected it to burst. Before the housing bubble every thought it would never stop expanding.
I know, right? That's the sad reality of this situation. It's not hard to make a billion dollars when you own half of the fucking entertainment industry.
I hope you're right. Disney ought to be humbled. Fuck Disney.
Huge flop. Universal wanted to create whole monster universe but mummy flopped. It had lower budget than dumbo and even higher gross. Despite making 410m on 125m budget (more than dumbo for even less than dumbo) it tanked whole pre-planned universe.
He's referring to the trend of countless movie posters using the blue and orange color scheme in recent years.
Disney will likely die in the hearts and minds of people that want something more than a Saturday morning cartoon. Their MO is to get dying franchises and milk them until they die completely.
They also sanitize them to death until they because non-offensive to everyone and uninspired.
They will end up doing what they do best. Comfy but mundane movies.
