>Replacing the Rock with John Cena
A bold move for Vin Diesel, but will it pay off?
>Replacing the Rock with John Cena
A bold move for Vin Diesel, but will it pay off?
can this dumb franchise go back to street racing again please
I can't see it working out.
Hobbs & Shaw looked good until Idris 'box office cancer' Elba was confirmed
who gives a fuck?who even watches this trash in the first place?
>pic on the right
Post their real heights
>yfw that asian dude died in tokyo drift but people like him too much so they brought him back
wait so he isn't dead now
who the fuck watches this garbage? Tokyo Drift was the only watchable one and even it is at best like a 5/10 flick
not even the first one was about that
>OMG NEW FAST AND FOOOREES
I enjoy the Fast and Furious franchise. I know it's retarded, but it's fun.
>Character is a villain in one movie
>Comes back and becomes a part of the family the next
EVERY TIME
>ywn be part of a familia
If anything, sois hate F&F.
Its DBZ with cars
>Tokyo Drift was the only watchable one
we've reached new levels on contrarianism that first seemed impossible
it was 50% street racing
Could they not get Bautista?
There is nothing contrary about the fact that Tokyo Drift is the only "good" one.
theres only one street race in first the movie, two in the second one
They retconned so much shit it's ridiculous.
The movies were good when they stuck to the Point Break undercover cop plot.
>the race at the beginning
>race wars
>fixed supra vs the lambo guy
>chasing the 2 chinks down
>the train race
HOW CAN 1 FRANCHISE CONTAIN THIS FEUD
WHAT IF ROCKS MOVIE OUTGROSSES VINS
>>the race at the beginning
yes thats the one
>>race wars
those are legal, made in a desert
>>fixed supra vs the lambo guy
more like a highway race
>>chasing the 2 chinks down
car chase, not street race
>>the train race
yeah I forgot that one, so theres two of them
the third one (aka the best one) is all about street racing
tokyo drift is the worst of the first 3
>lambo guy
what the FUCK?
>more than you can afford pal
>FERRARI
GET IT RIGHT
BASED VIN
THE BIGGER GUY
The first movie was literally about a cop going under cover trying to figure out who's stealing cargo from trucks.
It was never about street racing.
Fuck off, tokyo drift is great. It's the only one that features character growth and an actual plot structure
Lmao. We're you 8 when it came out or something? Shameful take.
it's a total zoomer take. Not that the first 2 are good movies, but they're much better than tokyo drift
Vin doesn't really care about the series, he's just trying to earn enough money to make kino that he wants like the Riddick series and The Last Witch Hunter. He's a nerd deep down.
I always liked it, my only problem is not showing the final race
all me
NINE???? Fucking shit
>NAMED VIN
>STARTS THE BIGGEST CAR FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME
HE IS THE ONE
>first and second was a cop going undercover to catch some truck hijackers and some drug dealer or whatever it was in the second, Point Break in cars essentially
>then third one was a high school fish out of water coming of age story in Japan with his maturity being measured in how well he can drift, like Karate Kid with cars or any other coming of age story where the guy is new in the neighbourhood
>8 or whatever we're on is about some world police supercop teaming up with some milquetoast supercriminal/terrorist to save the world from a black guy with superpowers, with one of the characters actually calling it saving the world
This trajectory is just insane. I thought the third one was a big outlier before this one came out.
>Rap songs throughout the entire movie
>Slow motion shots of girls in bikinis
>Rappers and mulatto in all the starring roles
>white people are always the bad guys
>criminals are made out to be the heroes
If you enjoy this franchise you're a nigger.
What I like about it is that the change isn't that jarring unless you skip a few movies. There is a natural progression as each movie tries to one up the previous installment.
I ENJOY THE CARSHIT
FYI 911 MASTER RACE, THE PERFECT AUTO
>Diesel has played Dungeons & Dragons for over 20 years, and wrote the foreword for the commemorative book 30 Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons. In the 30th anniversary issue of Dragon magazine, it was revealed that Diesel had a fake tattoo of his character's name, Melkor, on his stomach while filming XXX
Based Vin.
the oil truck intro in the 4th was already too fake and fantastic
I want him to do some high fantasy forgotten realms movies.
Isn't the guy who plays Shaggy part of releasing some custom or fancy D&D collections now? I wonder if he and Vin ever played D&D together. Imagine seeing that. An action hero guy playing one character and the killer from Scream/that hacker/Shaggy either playing another or DMing. And they're both actors so their make believe shit is probably one step above the rest as well.
cast it
>15 years from now on the set of fast and furious: sweet 16 a 70 year old vin disel will still be going at it
this is the future you chose, china
tried rewatching tokyo drift
the setting is great, the cars are great, the racing is great. but the cast and acting are absolute dogshit. especially sean, why the fuck was a 30 year old with a receding hairline hired to play a highschool senior?
The first film was OK. Haven't seen any of the others but I have the 6th film on Blu-ray which for some reason a friend gave to me.
semantics. point is that there was still a lot of racing involved
>there are no street races in the films
>legal race in a desert doesn't count
>illegal race on a highway doesn't count
It was a Ferrari, by the way.
