I had the soundtrack to this and annihilation on cassette. When I lived with my grandparents in a studio apartment in Brooklyn in the late 90s those tapes always kept me in a good mood as a kid. The movies were fun too but the soundtracks made a huge impact on my tastes growing up.

Was walking by a classroom after this movie came out and there was a STACK of posters in there and a teacher sorting through them, I immediately went "OH shit yeah Mortal Kombat was great!" and after a little talk the teacher gave me the poster. I gave it to my mom and she still has it, laminated in her apartment. Comfy kino for me
