I fucking miss this show so much
Banshee
Christ, I'm literally wearing the same clothes. Blue shirt, blue jeans.I like this guy already, this must've been some show.
Remember when he fucked up that professional MMA fighter because he was a rapist and his deputy called him a pussy, ten he stole his watch and fucked the local crimelord's waifu/niece some more.
"Hood" was the most alpha character to ever appear on tv, don't @ me
what the fuck happened to season 4
That was around the point where it started to really stretch the whole realm of believability. But yeah, fucking hero.
I dunno. I guess they wrote themselves into a bit of a corner and were probably given a lower budget to 'wrap it up'.
What I wouldn't give for a spin-off about the adventures of Hood and co as they traveled round the country solving mysteries and beating up dipshits
He did cheat though, with the biting and the arm breaks. I also loved how the murder butler dealt with the manager who wouldn't pay Kai though. Nearly as good as the fight with the girl off House whose throat he ripped out.
They went from making 80s and 90s action movie homages to late 90s early 2000s crime thrillers like se7en or the bone collector. It sucked
>Remember when he fucked up that professional MMA fighter
You just know this show was written by a manlet. Its like a manlet power fantasy where he always has to win.
Shit, even that black cop or the indian dude would have snapped him in half, let alone a pro in MMA.
It was a different time. I'm glad it only ran for 4 seasons. Even 4 was a bit worse than the rest. I dread to think how they would've butchered if it went on for another 3 seasons. And Hood is now Homelander, so it's all good.
Nah, "Hood" was a machine, the only guys in the entire show that was his level of fuck/kill machine was the giant native American dude that killed his copfu and the Albino. MMA guy was tough but only when fighting people who played by the rules, Hood cheats.
My favorite fight was the indian casino girl vs burton when she came after him with a literal tomahawk. Brutal fight.
Hood is in the Boys and easily the best part about it.
That one, the MMA fight, and the first Kai vs Hood were the best ones.
Remember when guys like him were considered fit?
jesus christ lads, reading this thread hurts. what absolute fucking kino
>the mma fight
>the nora vs. burton fight
>the first person fight
>the kai vs. hood fight
i love this show so much. i knew this show was going to be top kino within the first 15 minutes of episode 1. you had that great car chase and then the fantastic scene with the real hood in the bar with those proctor goons. i miss it so much
if anyone hasn't seen justified, it scratches that small rural town with colorful characters itch, though it's not nearly as action packed as our banshee
I honestly don't remember the first person fight but you should have included the Camp Genoa job and Hood going through the casino to rescue Rebecca.
camp genoa job was when the first person fight happened. the colonel (?) caught up to them in their van and just went ham on all three of them. they barely managed to push him out and run away.
these two coupled up filming banshee
how was the last season
Kek, I didn't know that was what you meant but I still agreed. That was a criminally underrated scene. Another great one was when they were running out of money for fight scenes so they did a camera spin where Burton killed a dozen Nazis, that was also kino.
to be honest i was kind of hyped when i thought the fight was coming and was disappointed it they skipped it.
my cope is that it would have probably looked dumb on screen, having him take on so many people at once. unless i'm mistaken we've had 1vs.2/3 fights but 10 would have been pushing it.
acceptable but it was still the weakest season. worth a watch though, for sure
has my man kurt a good ride in S4
will probably give a it a full rewatch
I didn't like S4 to be honest. It suffered without the police and killing Rebecca was a mistake. I liked junkie FBI girl but she wasn't a substitute for the girls we lost and the cult shit felt like a waste
>Pulp noir often portrays a grittier, one-man army. Typically, the main character has no distinguishing abilities, but can hold ground against seemingly impossible odds. Pulp noir locations are often seedy, run-down and degradated urban landscapes, where the lack of law, morals and even the proliferation of crime and drugs are common themes.
Breaking your opponents arm in MMA isn't cheating. The reason MMA fighters aren't breaking each others arms left and right is because it requires insane amounts of force.
i don't remember much beyond him having a bigger role, yes.
that's fair, it felt kind of sad and like a downer, but not enough for me to dislike it.
I meant more the biting and the crotch shots. The arm break was after MMA was down, it was revenge for raping the hostess in his town.
What the fuck, I was literally just watching this like five minutes ago...
You're a good lad
To be honest it felt like a different show or that that's where they wanted to end up after a few more seasons but they ran out of time. Did you watch the prequel series? I've never checked it out myself
origins? it's a bunch of shorts (3-5 minutes) iirc. nothing that's a must watch. personally i just saw season 1 and never bothered with the rest. i find that format pretty annoying.
Damn, I thought it was whole episodes
