Its a world where the justice league exists, created by a corporation, and they’re selfish assholes in private but the corporation covers it up. The main characters are a group of guys trying to expose and take them down

It's possible but the adaptation has been going in a completely different direction it's hard to say.
The comic does make a note of how part of the reason Noir went crazy is because he's capable of everything Homelander is, if not more, but has to keep it on the down low. So he doesn't fly, use lasers, etc. So he could have been holding back.

You can read them, but show went it's own way right at the first episode and by the end of the season changed a lot of things.

Maybe Homelander doesn't have good control over his laser vision, but Noir does.

It's a more realistic take on what would happen if superheroes really existed.
