So let me get this straight, The Resistance is worried about their low fuel. But spend 5 damn days burning fuel while waiting for a hacker to help them. If they have enough fuel that lasts for days they're really is no problem at all then.
Yes it was days. Pay attention to Rey's training with Luke.
Why didn’t the resistance just use the force to push their ships
Benjamin Brooks
No how it works.
Colton Jackson
Nah the planet Rey was on went through 4 spins in the actual days time ;3
Carter Gonzalez
Why did they waste all of they're fuel when in space there's no friction to stop their ships from moving? An object in motion stays in motion
Kevin Lewis
Why didn't the split up evenly between the four ships and jump to different points, with an agreement to meet up later at another point. The ship that gets followed makes one last jump to a very populated system where the escape pods can hide easily.
Instead of spending the first movie developing that story, they just shit it out in some nu-eu book. After the rebellion became the new republic it became fat and corrupt like it's predecessor and the military was defunded. An imperial remnant in the outer core was getting stronger, and grandma leia was one of the people who saw it as a threat, and helped raise a private army to combat it.
Thomas Morris
>Because the resistance was lead by women who never did any real service Is Star Wars secretly based and red-pilled?
Benjamin Nelson
Prequel trilogy and original trilogy yes.
>Jedi are space conservatives. Sith are space liberals controlled by the Jews
Adrian Price
>Yes it was days. Pay attention to Rey's training with Luke. >18 hours of fuel = days user.......did we......did we watch the same movie?
I rememeber reading a 'leak' a few months ago that I have seen championed. The super death star thing tore open a rift in space and time (confirmed in the novelisation of the first film) and Luke didn't die, but travelled to another dimension (hence why his hand didn't flop to the floor) to get help. This will allow the 2nd trilogy to be an essential reboot. With genderswapped and raceswapped character, sons and daughters and so on.
Gavin Wilson
I'd almost respect Disney for going full retard on this shit
Kevin Wood
>The Cole Protocol >useful That only delayed the inevitable my Sangheili friend. Cole was a dirty Innie that created the protocol to escape the UNSC
JJ loves time travel, so time travel makes sense to undo the whole issue of the 2nd and first film to allow them to fix it in the 2nd trilogy. Furthermore, there is a Simpsons episode which title crawl is literally 'The gang goes back in time and alter the past to prevent the events of the prequels to ever occur or something like that. I would laugh my head off if that is what happened. For the record, I've not seen any of the nu-wars, the first one was on TV but it was on in the background and I didn't actively watch it as I was really bored.
Jason Butler
hyper fuel isnt a thing, it was made up for TLJ, its nonsense, its not star wars, its shit.
Samuel Harris
They aren’t even waiting for the hacker since Holdo did not know about Poe’s plan
Christian Cook
Trekkie detected
Mason Cook
Halo has some pretty amazing hard sci-fi lore considering it's just a run of the mill shooter on the surface.
Nathaniel Evans
The Nu Trilogy is supposed to be a liberal’s dream, but some of the politics in the underlying story are literally neoconservatism lol.
>no one believes in the evil threat outside of the Republic but Leia >leia funds a PMC >terrorist attack makes everyone realize the New Republic made a mistake
Leia was Bush all along
Xavier Baker
Star Wars is for fat chicks
Brayden Torres
Why would Leia have the fleet fly directly at the planet with the secret base, making it incredibly obvious where they were going, instead of heading in the opposite direction while sending everyone off in the shuttles immediately?
Why wouldn't the First Order notice the ships had no life signs when that's an established technology in Star Wars?
What's the point of a cloaking device that doesn't stop someone from seeing you visually, and only stops scans if your enemy is too stupid to also run anti-cloak scans (and why is the FO this stupid?)
Why did the FO order the tie fighters back when they had just half wrecked one ship by destroying its bridge and hangar and probably could have finished off the whole thing, or at least crippled its engines? The reasoning of "not being able to support" them makes literal no sense as the entire point of fighters is to send them out to attack on their own, something that has been repeatedly demonstrated in Star Wars (including previously in this very same movie)
Still bought time which eventually lead to the great schism.
Brayden Rivera
What has the New Republic done since their capital got blown up? What does the New Republic and the First Order consist of?
Austin Kelly
>What has the New Republic done since their capital got blown up? They should have totally mobilized, but they didn't because women literally disarmed the Republic.
Like I said, the ST is secretly red-pilled.
Jose Sanchez
I think it was more confusing that they were traveling at the exact speed to be out of blaster range but also not get pulled by a tractor beam, yet Finn and the Chinese girl were able to leave and come back.
Owen Garcia
If they had to adapt the novels it would go
>fall of reach, first strike, ghosts of onyx, glasslands, last light
First strike would be kino as fuck
Robert Hall
>Why would >Why wouldn't the >What's the point of >Why did the
cause women
Elijah Perez
they have to cook the food you dumb FUCK
Jose Garcia
>fuel is literally never mentioned unless being short on it serves as a plot device Whatever, fuck this gay ass series.
William Bell
>I think it was more confusing that they were traveling at the exact speed to be out of blaster range but also not get pulled by a tractor beam, yet Finn and the Chinese girl were able to leave and come back. not just leave and come back, but go on a whole wild and whacky space adventure on casino world whilst also committing PETA-tier side quests.
Oliver Campbell
ive fucked two and only one liked star wars so you are wrong
Lucas Hernandez
Literal days have passed. TLJ is barely hours after the destruction of starkiller base. TLS will probably be a week or month later. OT had 3 years between movies. Empire is set a year after ANH and return is 2 years after Empire.
New trilogy everyone has conflicts and story arch’s completed in mere days
Dylan Adams
TRoS is 1 year after TLJ.
Mason Harris
>Literal days have passed
>The FIRST ORDER reigns. Having decimated the peaceful Republic, Supreme Leader Snoke now deploys the merciless legions to seize military control of the galaxy.
The conquered the whole galaxy in the time it took for Rey to hand Luke his lightsaber
Jace Kelly
Fucking awful.
>tfa ends with Rey finding Luke >during this time the resistance has had to scramble to their tiny fleet in mere hours or a day >also during this time, the republic isn’t a threat anymore and the first order controls the galaxy
Right........
>OT >rebels are hiding >empire has control of the galaxy because the republic was stretched out everywhere. >even after endor Empire still had their fleet scattered across the galaxy.
Pretty sure rebels were fighting for 2 years after? According to battlefront 2
Lincoln Jones
You've already thought about it more than Rian did.
Ayden Gray
In the Legends EU, the war officialy ended in fucking ABY19. In nu wars, the fought for ONE (1) year more.
Matthew Campbell
>legends, war continued for 15 years after endor >canon, empire gives up after 1 year
Dropped
Michael Lewis
And legends include Imperial Civil War stuff and rebels still geteting pushed hard and general back and forth in the war
Kevin Martin
Another question is why was this even a plot point (we all know why but it's fun). Imagine building a military and transporting to a planet out of the way of anything. You would think that because of this situation they would have reserves already stored in the ship. Why in the living fuck would you not only seclude yourself form the nearest allied outpost but then not have any fuel in case of emergencies.
This is also ignoring the fact that they are able to warp yet suddenly stop in the middle of no where. So someone knew they had no fuel, no defenses, no escorts, no allied help, no way to escape essentially, and to top it all off the whole incident on the ship involving Holdo.
I'd explain how the resistance are the actual bad guys but this is going far already
Gavin Collins
*when I mean escorts I'm talking about other naval ships to create a screen of firepower in case fighter vs fighter engagements were to happen. The 3 ships look like transports made up on the spot
