i get its a movie, but the scene where travis takes his pistol out and shoots him in the torso was so slow and deliberate anyone with any sort of reaction time would have either punch him in the face or grabbed the gun with plenty of time to spare.

Honestly, the movie shows that he’s been practicing and practicing, but then he gets the gun stuck in his jacket picked for half a second. It doesn’t make sense, but I personally feel that it makes it seem much more real and organic. Maybe that was what Scorsese was going for, or maybe it was an accident and he liked it.

He also edited the movie so that Travis’ hair goes from long to short to long again and then short. Maybe Scorsese was just a shitty director this entire time?
