Looks like less care was put into it, but still looks interesting
>ever get the feeling you're being watched
Great writing there
Didn't know this was an anthology show now. That looks fucking cool.
looks alright desu, naming it "the terror seasion 2" is still retarded
wasn't this show about the HMS Terror?
what the fuck are they doing?
It's always like this with anthology series.
They start as miniseries, so writers just have one story for one season and they've been probably working on it for years. Thenthe show gets renewed and they have less than 12 months to write it, cast it and produce it
Who's the director? I get that trailer are trailers and they're done to sell the show, but it feels a bit faster than the previous season. I hope they go for a J Horror feel. It could be quite great.
>season 2 of a limited series based on a book that is entirely finished in one season
first two episodes : good scary horror stuff
next 6 episodes : 5 episodes of non-horror drama subplots about affairs and racism and one episode returning to the horror stuff somewhere amongst them
final two episodes : mediocre conclusion to horror storyline.
This is my prediction based on the fact that the storyline is no longer based on a book and horror tv shows always follow this gay formula.
the producers and writers are almost certainly going to go for "let's make it like america horror story but a bit classier"
MR. HICKEY YOU'RE RUINING THIS INTERNMENT CAMP
I liked the movie The Terror from the 60s with Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson, is this show based on that?
>Generic spooky jap girl meme
Yea, pass
Misses what made the first series great. Plenty of better avenues they could have gone down.
>The Terror season 2
>Has nothing to do with the HMS Terror
Nigger what are you doing?
>American government is putting innocent minority families in cages so stupid white people feel safer
haha what a whacky premise
This is one of these cases where the political aspect could be pretty well implemented into the show while still making the whole thing horror. These people were interned merely because of their cultural association with Japan's role in WWII. They're innocent as person, but they're part of a culture that did horrible stuff (way worse than the nazis) in WWII and so they're persecuted and punished. Now, the ghost / demon could be haunting them by this same association, making them pay for something they don't really have any personal implication, but merely cultural, social. They could even apply the "white people bad" narrative in that same mold, where the action of a few stain the reputation of a whole culture.
But it ain't gonna happen.
Sneed's Internment Camp (formerly Chuck)
SJW junk confirmed
Where the fuck is Hickey though
I hope they take it easy on the fuck Drumpf shit
Will /ourbear/ make an appearance?
That image reminds me of this shot from The Old Dark House (1932)
Ruining it. All the things that made the orginal series great - stoic white men first trying to discover, then survive - has been replaced by backwards insects whining about justice and scared of stories.
Dilate, commie.
fuck i thought it was gonna be about Unit 731?
>Every season introduces its own horror story in a unique historical setting
I'm okay with this, fuck the sceptics who want HMS Terror's story to be extruded to death.
it looks BORING
i want new stuff that excites and makes me think
It'll probably be mildly entertaining, but be infused with some highly inappropriate anti-US/white themes shit and some unsubtle analogies to US immigration policy, because fucking everything has to be political.
It won't be able to hold a candle to the first season though and will be the next True Detective: S2 in terms of killing of audience goodwill and viewership.
>The Terror
reminder that this has nothing to do with The Terror and literal soiboy neckbeard retards have been coaxed into thinking it's some kind of anthology series
sage this shit
>you had an all white cast in the terror that was problematic now we're going to punish you with some gook internment camp
hard pass
>we'll make a completely unrelated show but to attract interest from fans of the terror we'll call it an anthology series!
cringe. do they think anyone will fall for this gimmick?
I think it will be a very important and historically revealing series. Many Americans don't know about this aspect of world war II.
Got something for you
very funny
>series is one season about the terror, an actual boat named that that was lost
>lol let's just use the namesake for other bullshit
>oh and George Takei is involved
Fucking dropped hard.
They literally teach about it in elementary school, I remember reading an entire chapter about it. The only people that dont know are younger people who have a modern education from past 2000. In the 90s it was something we had to learn about and it was considered a lesson in racism.
>no Mr. Hickey
Pass
Season 1 was Kino. This does not look Kino.
>I think
No, I don't think you can, commie.
Those Japs would have been lynched in the street if the government hadn't put them in protective custody. Americans detested the Japanese at the time.
The terror is one of those rare historical things you can introduce an unbelievable god monster into and still have the viewer suspend disbelief. The internment camps were all documented, it's much less interesting to speculate on because we dont need to speculate. We know what happened in its entirety and there are countless witnesses and still living people that were confined there. Now it's just a shitty ghost story in a contemporary setting no different than that Abigail movie.
tuunbaq was a virgin
Maybe there's a cool escape subplot?
That was also a lesson about racism. It's like how in forest hump lt Dan married a vietnamese woman. We all learned about this shit, it's much less interesting than "hey all these real people actually just vanished for 150 years and we still dont know what exactly happened for 90% of the time they were still alive up there".
They found the Terror boat.
Please name a single horror tv series or movie that took place whose setting was Japanese internment camps.
They found it but they still haven't found all the bodies or what happened to them. We don't know where they finally died.
What if the ghosts are helping them escape?
>They found it but they still haven't found all the bodies or what happened to them.
They died of starvation.
Looks better than the first trailer. Will give it a shit.
They weren’t interned because their culture did “horrible stuff”
Virtually none of what they had done wouldn’t be done, and most of it would be yet to happen.
They were interned because they had already shown a willingness to aid Japan in the war effort.
>Will give it a shit.
why did I lose to this?
Alright, ALRIGHT! I'll torrent it!
Get off my back.
Jeez
No one wanted a literal sequel you dipshit
you seem mad
I just find it so hard to relate to Japanese people because they seem so inhumanly driven by black & white thinking where the collective is all and the individual is nothing. They creep me the fuck out.
Reminder that some Japs were literally spies and fed intel on the US naval movements in the pacific and gave them the perfect time to attack pearl harbor
en.wikipedia.org
of course modern liberals will completely ignore the fact that the US was entirely in the right to secure all foreign japanese citizens
Which streaming service will this be on?
