he was upset that he looked like davey havok

He was just evil right? I know in the TV show they embellish on the effects of long term sarcophagus use making you go crazy, but in the movie he's just an evil alien overlord.

Yeah, in the movie he's just an alien who possessed the boy's body so he could live forever.

NO! NOOOOO!

He's angry he went from a grey alien to a parasite worm that makes people have glowy eyes.

wut

The SG1 show was incredibly corny and retconned Ra and his goons to just be incompetent worms living inside of people that give them scary voices and glowing eyes.

They made the Norse gods ayy lmaos though, so there's that.

That's especially hilarious because it's not like the original Stargate movie wasn't insane enough with the Egyptian pharaoh actually being a human hiding as an alien to make humans into slaves. Apparently it was actually an evil worm hiding as an alien hiding as a human who was an Egyptian pharaoh enslaving humans.

What is the inspiration behind this kind of tattooing?

asgaard ayys were definitely one of the more based aliens to appear on tv though

AIDS

slaves not knowing their place

Roland is kind of insane isn't he? Taking a step back and looking at this movie as a whole, what the fuck was he thinking? It's really bizarre, definitely unique though.

Traditionally the all black thing is because you were in prison or a gang or something and you're starting a new life so you black out the old tattoos. With zoomers, I don't fucking know anymore. it's probably a meme from a twitch minecraft streamer.

I always hated that retcon/explanation. It was fine for the series but kinda ruins the mystery of the movie. I don't wanna think about some tiny worm while watching it. You also see its supposed true form in the explosion at the end.

That's not true in the slightest and reads as if you don't know much about the show. The sarcophagus does do that to normal people but enhances their evil traits they already have, and have had since the start.

The Goa'uld didn't even have any sarcophagus' until the work done by the Goa'uld Telchak on an Ancient healing device in central America, which happened long AFTER the all the Egyptian myth based Goa'uld had already been long evil and ransacking the galaxy. That's to say nothing of Anubis who was well and standard Goa'uld evil before even the Egyptian ones were a thing, and the first Goa'uld who were taking the boddies of the Unas before any Humans.

Wasn't he just desperate, weak and fragile and his entire species at the edge of extinction, and found out a way to trick death?

This.

It's a worm who's inside an asgard who's inside an human.

Ra was actually a malevolent Asgard, which was why he was at the top of the heap. He wanted to live forever and the Asgard knew their lives were running out due to genetic degredation.
The other System Lords were Gouald. Thats also why none of them were all that angry when Ra was killed.

That whole creepy Michael Jackson "surround myself with kids" thing was a bit disconcerting

It's literally in the movie.

You mean Pauly Shore?
