When is the NEXT FUCKING TRON MOVIE FUCK MCU
>Tron Legacy
>good
Pick one.
I hope we don't get one. It's destined to be garbage.
That reboot is trash. Original TRON is kino.
Not if it's directed by Villeneuve
It was actually the first good Disney movie
Legacy is a sequel, nigger
>see Olivia Wilde in Tron Legacy
>has huge ass, nice tits, hot as fuck
>watch Olivia Wilde in literally anything else
>thin as a pencil and flat as a board
I don't get it. Did they CGI her body for the movie or something?
Skin tight clothes and padding.
stop reminding me
Snow White
Olivia wilde looks hot ONLY in this movie.
If you watch Tron as a duology back to back its actually really fucking interesting how it comments on issues we're currently facing with the digital landscape. I'm in a sense happy there isnt a Tron 3, I dont think there should be one for another 15 years at least. People might need reminding of what it means to fight for the users, the internet is getting scarier and scarier.
The magnitude of The Dude's character is also lost if you didnt watch the first one, I highly reccomend people read/watch interviews of the original writer/director.
Tron left us behind
Disney already acquired a new sci-fi cash cow, so this IP will rot till the end of time.
It was pretty mediocre and a surprisingly bland 3d movie experience
Tron Uprising > Tron Legacy
It's always said about this movie that the only great about it was the visuals and specially the music.
But thinking about it right now... what else can you expect from this movie? I mean what could you make from the story of a software designer that goes inside a virtual world that is based in a video game and he has to play the video game to survive. They even created all that story of a civilization inside the virtual world, virtual life being born inside of it (I think the girl was one of this) and the evil virtual being wanting to go to the real world and conquering it. They added enough complexity to the plot of the first movie I think. I don't know what else could you do to make this simple story advanced and be a little more interesting than a man inside a videogame.
For what it is, it is a great movie.
I think you're simplifying it, CLU wanting to go into the real world is an analogy for junk data online not having anywhere to compile, it all just adds up with nowhere to go. I mean, its not mind blowing, but its a good message ive never seen in a film before. I think the fact that you just see it as
>programmer gets to play his game
is misinterpreting the first film as well.
Also Quora being an ISO, a self created AI that could change the real world if implemented on a larger scale, is indicative of the future we're heading in where the internet is nothing but AI proxies talking back and forth. CLU knew this would be a radical change so he supresses and seeks to destroy the meaningful information. I think this happens a lot in the real world. Just saying, its more than a special effects movie to me at least.
How was Quora created? And all that people that live outside the city.
Quora was Flynn's life work that he never got to finish because of the drama with CLU, when he spent years inside the machine building the new civilization Quorra and the ISOS was basically his pet project. It basically became self sustaining and evolved, started designing itself to the point that he couldnt recognize her code anymore (when he repairs her severed arm he talks about this)
here found it
>A digital frontier to reshape the human condition
>...I always thought that was just a plug line

Tron was better when it wasn't just depressing cyberpunk bullshit.
What does he mean when he says that Quora can change everything in the real world?
That she will be like an AI in a human body or what?
art reflects reality!
What he means is if the ISOs weren't killed off computer programs across the world could potentially all become sentient self thinking machines free from the limitations of their programmers. Just imagine for a second if your computer right now, phone, whatever, was a living organism with its own alterior motives kind of like in the movie "Her". He's basically saying Quora was Scarlet Johannson in "Her" is the best way I can put it. It would indeed change the world.
>no Pinocchio or Fantasia
pig disgusting
radical mane
>depressing cyberpunk bullshit
I refuse to believe you watched the movie.
And what is she going to do with that power in the real word?
Can she have children with Flyn's son?
Would they be a new species different from human, with the intelligence of an AI that will replace the humans?
I mean, possibly. Thats only assuming we ever develop the technology they used to teleport you in the game world and into reality, which they said is based on real world science thats just not possible yet.
More realistically, just like in the movie Her, it would create some kind of AI trancendense, who knows. Like, the fact that we dont know and its kinda scary to imagine is why CLU wanted her dead and that was moreso the point of the movie as I understand it. But I still like the ending very much, instead of focusing on the negative we get a father's heartfelt sendoff.
That montage of flashbacks makes me tear up
Rumor has it that they're rebooting it. Let's fucking hope not. Legacy ended perfectly and there is zero point in making another one.
Thats why I think they need to wait another ten years, to make a more relevant statement on the digital frontier when shit changes again. As of now I dont think there's a story to tell.
