Pretty good. The theatrical versions are better edited as as single movies and should be what you watch for the first viewing, not that the extended cuts are bad, but it does make the pace a bit janky (which is fine if you're going to marathon like 9 hours of movies).
I'd advise waiting for the winter to come around. They need to be watched on a super cold day to maximize comfy.
