one of the most highly rated animes of all time, and pretty much all episodes go like this:
>3 minutes of exposition >2 minutes of characters having monologues about self-doubt, comradeship, sacrifice, whatever >1 minute of action >rinse and repeat
That shit wouldn't fly in a western movie/series. Why does anime get away with it?
>one of the most highly rated animes of all time not even true the only high rated season is the 4th, the rest have good ratings but nothing above a 8.5
Joshua Morales
AoT is such shit. The characters are among the most boring and bland I have ever witnessed. The only thing this crap has going for it is its decent animation and choreography. The story is nothing new and has been done so many times already that I can't believe that weebs hail the basement twist as something extraordinary. The series is fucking gargabe. Period.
>That shit wouldn't fly in a western movie/series Since when? Popular Western movies are dumber than the dumbest shonen right now.
Evan Sanders
>translator's note: "reddit" means "popular"
Blake Parker
fuck off, the show was taylor-made for reddit
Noah Cooper
Heh cute comeback, I'll use that
Jayden Cook
anime sucks but the manga is really good
Liam Bennett
it's popular but that doesnt mean it's good. it's like the star wars of anime
Logan Lewis
It was only worth a shit in episode 1, then it turned into shounen garbage.
Carson Mitchell
Because it's shonen, subversion of shonen or because it's considered "problematic" and not progressive?
Landon Nguyen
the manga has garbage art
Sebastian Long
>the show that reddit is crying is fascist propaganda was made for reddit
Brandon Lee
>one of the most highly rated animes of all time that's not Akira
Colton Price
Talk in itself obviously isn't bad, but when the anime spends like half its runtime explaining literally fucking everything as if the audience were retarded children, it becomes a problem
Carter Hill
The highest rated anime of all time is Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
Charles Evans
That's typical anime though. You forgot: >war veterans that look like they're 12 >enemies using some kind of giant robot/monster >heroes use their own (or commandeer) giant robot/monster >heroes' giant robot is super speshul and better than enemy robot for some reason, despite getting it's ass kicked constantly
Gavin Ortiz
>That's typical anime though you just described mecha anime made for children are you one of those brainlet faggots who still think anime is a genre?
Justin Thompson
What makes you instantly drop any anime? For me its >MC is teenager
Eli Cook
>taylor made >made by taylor?
Cameron King
More like shut the fuck up.
Grayson Adams
I watched the first two seasons with subtitles, then tried to rewatch all of it dubbed. The dubbed version is practically unwatchable. Literally only an ADHD smoothbrain could watch this dubbed and enjoy it.
Christian Gomez
sbeve
Ethan Jenkins
I mean yaoi was nice and I still watch it to see what will happen next, it's like capeshit, if you turn your brain off you can enjoy that one or two kino moments per episode
Joshua Young
It's just mecha but with worse looking suits that don't please my autism
Jack Ramirez
>MC is a beta glasses wearing faggot >multiple uguu-girls are part of main cast >MC gets teleported to another world >Monster/trading cards >Ecchi Fanservice shit
Robert Miller
I also drop anime because of memes, I really hate thinking for myself.
Jaxson Gutierrez
Why do all the cities and characters look the same? The entire thing looks so fucking bland.
