autism

Plenty of boring episodes and very few interesting things that will tickle your autism

depends on which one

boredom

im starting from the very beginning

congrats OP, you are in for superior space kino and excellent acting, except from Kirk.

sounds good to me

A long road, I would say not to watch more than 2 or 3 episodes a day or you'll just burn yourself out.

Attached: e5359fde60e4bb8cc5b26f95636b5ca5.jpg (584x467, 46K)

fun stories best be watched one episode a day to have something to excite you and process said episode, since if you binge it, some will seem similar and blend into one another.

Start with TNG and don't watch past DS9. You'll be a fan for life and you will never know the disappointment outside of those two series.

Space diplomacy and holodecks. Comfy.

Replace Deep Shit 9 with Voyager and this is correct.

TOS is still great, it has some really nice stories and lot of emotion. people might say it's dated but i'd say it's charming and as it was said by gene, a peroid piece of it's own time that was created. what the vision of the future once was... and then you get discovery.

Kate mulgrew..... “Did you watch the original series? It was extremely misogynist."

Attached: 1.jpg (661x665, 109K)

Lmao and yet there are faggots who unironically like VOY

Attached: indeed.jpg (320x240, 25K)

well ive watch the pilot and episode 2 and so far im digging it

I do and Janeway is best captain.

I started watching TNG.

There was a teleporting pirate who kept changing into different historical outfits.

I switched it off and have never looked back.

tos is quality shit
tas is ok
tng is quality shit
ds9 is the best by miles
voy is quality shit

ent and disco are not treks

movies - first one is the best and from the first 6 only the fifth is bad. Two picard movies are good, other two are shit. JJ abrams treks are not treks (they are a little) but they are quality action movies.

well it is extremely misogynist. But good at the same time. Something that is morally bad can be good cinematographically speaking. Like triumph of the will.

>watching any trek outside of Based and Redpilled Trek
anyone who likes ds9 or voyager needs to be killed
TOS, TAS, TNG, ENT- Based Trek
DS9, VOY, STD- Tranny Trek
Discord Trannies fuck off

kate mulgrew

>“Now we have this clown Donald Trump, who has no vision whatsoever, so our space imagination has been blunted for the time being. I don’t think he has any intention [of returning to the Moon]: he’s not educated, he’s inept, and there is nothing of self-gain in space for Donald Trump, nothing promotional for him.”

>“You will be aware of the ‘me too’ movement. You will be aware of all the problems of being a woman. Being a woman means you get to be attacked and subjugated and sublimated by men and all of the rest of it. It’s going to take years to correct this, and it’s going to mean we are going to go to another extreme, which is unfortunate. We don’t want to lose our sense of humour, but I’m afraid it’s going to be rather austere.”

Attached: 2.jpg (675x650, 82K)

Started watching it myself recently. There are a few very good episodes, a bunch of shit episodes and most are meh.

Lots of dogshit and lots of kino.

The especially frustrating parts are when the people act in a way that no human or CO would act.

Yes and? Most actors have garbage opinions, doesn’t make the show bad.

Janeway would murder half a galaxy for her crew, and her crew is pretty shit. Best captain forever.

shes right you know

>she said something accurate but it conflicts with my worldview so I better call insult her!!!!
lol you're literally an NPC

Star trek is garbage and that kate mulgrew is just a bitter and twisted old woman.

everyones opinions about the show are fascinating.
i look forward to watching every episode and forming my own opinion

Are you retarded, son?

Do you think Klingons feel second-hand embarrassment when humans say Qapla' or anything like that and try to act all tough? Like how a black man may feel if a white man were to say "nigga?"

>NPC can't come up with an argument because of his lack of critical thinking skills
can't make this up lol
imagine not having an inner monologue lol
kys lol

Does anyone even know the definition of misogyny?

ds9>tng > tos > shit > rest

>d'awwww poor baby

That whole "sweetie" thing has been done to death.

Some great television until you hit Voyager, then it's all downhill from there.

Attached: 123456789.png (958x713, 437K)

When does tng get good? I'm 5 episodes in and only the first one was sort of okay

maybe 25 good episodes out of hundreds. Boring moralistic humanism and socialism. Constant preaching about the prime directive that means nothing. And then a slow decline after TNG is done.

Just a heads up the franchise has pretty bad continuity. Don’t get too autistic about it.

In season 3 the entire show shifts into kinodrive and you can feel it

Maximum comfiness.

TOS is it's own breed, some of the best tv, also some very, very 60s tv.

Early TNG seems like someone trying to remake TOS with some changes, it doesn't really become it's own until Riker gets a beard. From there, to early DS9 and VOY it's a very particular brand of 90s tv, lots of good stuff, but becomes some diminishing returns. TNG from S3-S6, and then episodes here and there are some of the best of this style.

DS9 starting around season 2 and nearly all of ENT is great, and each kind of pushes the setting, and deconstructs how these organizations and groups would operate. ENT gets some hate, but it's very underrated - S3 and S4 are some of the best Trek around.

DIS is like modern tv with Trek flavor. Haven't seen S2, to be honest. Some good stuff in there, but it's very of it's time, and somewhat empty.

Only Kirk and Picard are good captains.

comfy science fiction

Remove Dracula and that lesbian chick tho

kys

It looks like she really wants to work for Kurtzman. A few weeks ago Sirtis took a shit on the fans and got a cameo on Star Trek Picard.

Post a picture with Captain Georgiou or fucking delete the thread

Watch all of it. Just a few a day, super comfy. When I was on a 90man Outpost in Iraq back in 2010. I used to watch 144p TNG off my laptop tb external after patrols, tower duty, QRF, what ever.

It's the best show to fall asleep too. I used to watch it in the dark, on my cot , And it was like going to another world. A utopian future, the human characters are all enlightened, reasonable, intelligent. It was pure escape from that miserable 12 month deployment.

I don't believe in space communism or anything like that. But one of the reasons star trek was so great, is that compared to other TV, you were leaving your mundane life to this Utopia were the only human conflict, is from pushing our boundaries in a quest for knowledge, exploration and self improvement.

All star trek is worth a look until after Voyager. Enterprise is very meh with some good stuff here and there.

you said ds9 twice

Spacewank fantasies of commie pinko scum.

It kinda loses the pinko she'll in ds9. The Borg also seems like a criticism of democracy, communism, and consumerism.

Also, in TNG, homosexuality has been cured.

make me punk

One good series (TOS) and a bunch of crap.

>I used to watch 144p TNG off my laptop tb external after patrols, tower duty, QRF, what ever.

whilst the ragheads planted IEDs you worthless piece of shit

>It's the best show to fall asleep too
So you're saying it's not worth actually watching a whole episode and that it sends you to sleep?

>Clone Wars low tier

This is the best way. TOS is kino. Don't listen to anyone who recommends skipping a series, bad episodes or whole seasons. People like that are lightweights. Fuck em.

Attached: miri_1_by_themulator11_d4lspqt.jpg (732x825, 123K)

Lol, it was my first time watching TNG. Also we had rotation. I usually only got 6 hrs to myself between 5hr guard shifts. When I was on that rotation. QRF was better.
No, but if you are dead tired, the show is usually tranquil with people talking, and the soft ambience of the ship and computer. I would always finish the episode, but after a guard shift and lack of sleep, the comfy show would make me pass out. I do remember mornings eating breakfast and looking forward to finishing the episode after a shift.

Just skip all of it till Star Trek Discovery It's the best of the various series the rest of them are borderline crap.

Attached: cool.jpg (768x431, 29K)

At least it counted as sex, given how realistic it is.

Attached: mineallmin.jpg (490x376, 32K)

Best way to do it. Since later series often use characters and stories established in previous series/episodes, a lot won't make sense if you take them out of order.

Meanwhile, expect a whole lot of memorable characters

Attached: Trek.jpg (2036x3048, 973K)

tos still the best of the bunch. it's not a meme.

TNG has more depth.

I use an antenna and watch local TV. I get a channel called H&I, they play TOS, TNG, DS9, V, ent in a massive block starting at 7am. I watch it with my wife and daughter. I've already seen it all, but it's good background noise, and it will heal my attention more than I like.

Attached: bHdrC-1538059614-32-billboard-HI2018_BB_AllStarTrek2.jpg (2000x900, 443K)

TOS always had better women than any other series though. And old Gene made sure to fuck almost every one of them, the old dog.

Attached: mudds5.jpg (1246x1247, 450K)

>TNG has more depth.

Attached: 1304376955947.png (500x375, 299K)

TNG expanded the ST universe and made the franchise a household name.
Ya doof.

I like them both equally for different reasons.

It depends on how you define "best". Each of them have their strong and weak points.

As pointed out, the stories in TNG are far more complex and deep. TOS is good if you want a mirror to the 60's and if you like your captains more Errol Fylnn.

Meanwhile DS9, while lacking in a lot of ways, uses the canon like a familiar old coat, adding humor and it's own form of nostalgia (little green men as an example). And while the over-used the Bajoran mysticism plot, I would argue that Quark (and the development of the whole ferengi canon) was a superior addition to the overall trek universe. Compare the stale flat ferengi of TNG to the well developed characters of DS9, and you would have to agree at least on that point.

>I like them both equally for different reasons.
You're supposed to be antagonistic and hostile.

Can we just be happy that we got 3 amazing serious and 1 meh one. Man it was crazy as a kid, DS9 then Voyager. I used to like Voyager more as a kid.

I didn't appreciate TOS until later in life, but it is for sure underrated by younger fans. It is definitely better then TNG when it comes to certain topics, and Spock is way more interesting than data.

spess ket

Attached: Lieutenant Shiboline M'ress.png (3920x2204, 1.59M)

im not saying tng is terrible it's just not as good as tos and none of its characters have any depth beside picard, probably because patrick stewart is an egomaniac

>Spock is way more interesting than data.
They're both just assburgers. Inserted to please those who have never inserted.

kirk chad is kino

Good for you. TOS is amazing once you get used to it. At least the first two seasons. TNG is sketchy in the first season but gets a lot better. Similarly DS9 has a slow start but grows into maybe the best show of them all. Voyager and Enterprise are optional. There's good stuff in there but also a lot of meandering and wasted potential. Discovery is cancer and not Star Trek.

Attached: quark.gif (523x369, 96K)

>Discovery is cancer and not Star Trek.
It is technically canon.

> technically canon
Two dangerous words. When the people who control a franchise decide to make large changes, it technically becomes canon because they are in charge of deciding what is and is not canon, but that doesn't necessarily make it good.

Two examples: in the trek movie reboot the destruction of Vulcan. Made for an interesting movie; but that it totally screws every series that has come out after that.

Example 2: that "other" space franchise, where the person making them goes back and makes changes to important (and unimportant) details in order to correct his every changing word view. (and yes, that one character DID shoot first no matter what anyone says)

correction... make that "screws every series that takes place in a later time period within the same supposed universe".

Anons cry and get sweaty hands whenever a new trek comes out. The fanbase has katanas at home.

And take breaks inbetween seasons/shows. When I watched every show and film, I took regular breaks between shows as to not get burnt out.

fuck you, Kirk is based and Shatner is great

Why would Vulcan getting destroyed in an alternate timeline screw anything up on the TV shows set in another universe?
God I hate JJ Trek/Discovey, fuck timeline retcon shit.

I really enjoyed it, even some of Season 3.

When I watched all 80 episodes (including The Cage), I gave every episode a rating out of 5, and at the end I counted 34 episodes of at least 4/5. 30 episodes of 3/5 and 16 of 2/5 or less. Was a fun show overall, animated series was good and I enjoyed all 6 movies, even 1 and 5, just started TNG and it's okay, bit bumpy but I've heard it gets better.

Attached: gggregre.png (363x569, 362K)

I watched Enterprise for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, like you said 3 and 4 are some of the best Trek seasons.

I bet most people hating on it haven't even watched it since it came out and since the internet hates it have basically decided they hate it too.

Which is ironic considering Shatner is a Jew.

many derive satisfaction from hate

Attached: bri1.jpg (550x386, 50K)

I don't understand people who skip episodes on the first watch. Can't people form their own fucking opinions and not be sheep? When I watch a show I'm amazed by episodes that are supposed to be shit that I like, and vice versa.

Like Spock's Brain isn't even that bad, it's a solid 3/5, there are far worse episodes than that.

Episodes like Doomsday Machine, Mirror Mirror, Ultimate Computer, Tholian Web and All Our Yesterdays are still amazing TV 50 years later. And this is coming from someone who only watched them for the first time a couple of years ago.

If it were purely an alternate timeline, then I could accept that. For example, you had TOS episode "mirror mirror" where we had "evil goatee spock". Not only was that same alternate universe revisited in ENT "In the mirror darkly", but it was famous enough to be used as a gag in at least one outside TV show.

But there are a few problems...

1. Once you start including too many alternate universes, it gets confusing as hell and the characters simply become generic; like Sherlock Holmes is now with characters ranging from the original to SH in space. Too many variations break up the continuity.

2. The reboot Trek, as an origin story, creates it's on time travel paradox. If, for example, we are led to believe that all of the TOS characters got together only because vulcan was destroyed, that kind of hoses all of the later(timeline) episodes in TOS where they are on vulcan, deal with vulcan, etc.

Ya, they seem to be trying to get out of this by suggesting that the survivors found another planet and created a "new vulcan", but even this wouldn't work when you dig deep enough and find all of the references in later(timeline) series to ancient structures ect on the planet.

It's just sloppy. Imagine, for example, they did a star wars reboot where the plot was someone going back and killing Luke as a child. Sure, they COULD do it; but as soon as they try to slap the label of "official" canon on it, they have negated all of the other movies which relied on the character.

Attached: EvilCartman.jpg (960x540, 56K)

>I don't understand people who skip episodes on the first watch.
It's not 1993 anymore. People have choice now.

Attached: holdme.jpg (819x1024, 237K)

Picard's posture looks horrible in this photo.

when i watched all of tos and the films i expected shatner to suck cause of memes but he was brilliant for the most part, very underrated. people just to focus on the odd scene or episode where he sucks, when for the most part he is great.

other trek myths - red shirt is statistically the safest color, they never say "beam me up scotty" and kirk isn't some womanizing badboy.

Attached: 47a.png (980x551, 686K)

I'd add The Conscience of the King, Balance of Terror andThe City on the Edge of Forever to that list

So because someone says "Episode 26 is bad, skip it" you'd skip it? Fair enough. I'd rather watch it and form my own view and watch the show in it's entirety, warts and all, but fair enough.

Meanwhile, the cast of DS9 seemed completely fine with doing a tribute episode.

I meant to say Kirk.

It is pretty sexist let's be real, but it was made in the 60's what do people expect.

I mean in one early episode Spock says something like a woman should be flattered a guy tried to rape her, or something to that effect.

I wish they'd change the uniforms up a bit. Every show since TNG (apart from ENT) has the same fucking uniform.

>a woman should be flattered a guy tried to rape her

Attached: 1523452583015.jpg (804x743, 98K)

Which episode was that?

s02e11 "the cage"

says the woman who put her baby up for adoption so she could focus on her acting career.
Yeah fuck TOS for having short skirts.

Attached: 7cd1a18abd426cafe39b91be182ee474.jpg (586x911, 86K)

Worst one is the 2390s. It's just black and grey with a coloured collar.

Attached: 59ec1ae760d329e532566fe7bee371c1.jpg (960x843, 101K)

>It is pretty sexist let's be real
It wasn't. Roddenberry was a feminist.

At the end of The Enemy Within, when Kirk almost rapes Janice, Spock says "So hey, that evil Kirk had some pretty interesting qualities, am I right Yeoman?"

It wasn't sexist cause of the short skirts, the female cast loved the skirts and lobbied for it if I recall reading correctly.

Just how they talk to and treat women is pretty dated. I'm not offended by it or anything, but it's pretty obviously sexist at times with it's treatment of women. But it was the 60's so I just laugh.

he did not

Attached: s-l300.jpg (215x300, 15K)

I'm literally shaking. I can't believe Spock said "rape is good you stupid bitch"

>and kirk isn't some womanizing badboy
Apologists for kirk try to explain this away by claiming his women were all "serious relationships". Now consider his 5-year mission:

Ruth, Janice Lester, Carol Marcus Areel Shaw, Helen Noel, Janice Rand, Nancy Crater, Miri, Lenore Karidian, Edith Keeler, Marlena Moreau, Drusilla, Kelinda, Elaan, Shahna, Deela, Marta, Odona, Rayna Kapec, Antonia, Martia, Miramanee

Kirk not being a womanizer is like a facebook thot who puts up a picture every month of the new man she is "in love" with.

>the woman who put her baby up for adoption so she could focus on her acting career.
Did she really do that?

18-21 aren't canon are they?

But yeah no imagination post TNG. And Disc and Picard haven't changed shit up either.

He was the type of feminist that is also a bit of a perv. His original idea for the betazoids had them as hermaphrodites with 4 tits. Roddenberry's wife did play Troi's mother.

>pic
>where no AIDS have spread before

Imagine if you almost got raped walking to work, and when you tell you boss why you're late he goes "Oh, that mugger had some pretty interesting qualities, right mate?" with a smile. You'd think "wtf?"

12 is the best uniform of the TNG era.

Most of the women lust after him first and Tiberius, being a warm blooded horny male, responds in kind. And most of them he never actually has sex with, at most a kiss and some flirting.

Attached: 35a.png (568x723, 489K)

I know about the mini skirts only being in it because of Grace Lee Whitney and Nichelle Nichols. I just typed out the usual shit feminists like to spew bile about TOS.

>Feminist.

Didn't he cheat on his wife with Chapel's actress then force her on the show which the execs didn't like, then while dating the actress he fucked almost every guest star?

Lol based Gene, but no feminist.

Attached: Counselor-Deanna-Troi-star-trek-the-next-generation-39723919-300-236.gif (300x236, 474K)

Yeah she was in some shit 70's TV show and didn't want to lose the job so gave her kid away.

His vision was one of equality.

Attached: 49a.jpg (3096x3040, 1.02M)

Can we all agree that Dr Crusher is the hottest female Trek has ever had?

I mean 7 of 9 is hot, and Burnham has been my crush since Walking Dead, but Beverly....

He was a feminist, pro equality, every women would get a taste of his dick.

I could never get past the way-too-close motherly attention she gave Wesley. Always creeped me out.

just watch porn

Were you hugged?

Attached: very clever.jpg (750x480, 36K)

>Didn't he cheat on his wife
And the rest. He was fucking Uhura and Chapel at the same time at one point. He fucked loads of women while making TOS and I mean loads, if they had a speaking part Gene probably fucked her. Even when he married Majel he openly had multiple mistresses. This pic is one of his mistresses on the set of TNG. He gave he a job there (wardrobe?). This isn't even a secret, they all knew. That was just Gene.

Attached: OnDeck.jpg (2369x2987, 824K)

A handshake is enough emotionalism, thank you very much

Recently started Trek too. God damn all the women are amazing.

>imagine having the time to make up all these stories about a c-grade producer
yikes

Never happened

As a guy that grew up with TNG, it took a while but I can now admit that Kirk is the best captain in the franchise. Honestly the perfect example of leader ever.

>and if you like your captains more Errol Fylnn.
You have never watched Errol Flynn films
You have never watched Star Trek TOS

Was Janeway always this redpilled?

Attached: 1900.webm (638x480, 1.78M)

>Feminist was free sex and pro-choice
>But if a man has free sex then he's a pig

Nah, that picture is Susan Sackett. She really was a mistress of his. She was a personal assistant not wardrobe.

Other than TOS there was always the one female character who I fell in love with. Dr. Crusher, Kira, Seven, and T'Pol. Literally got better with every new show.

no

Attached: Katherine_Pulaski.jpg (1139x1080, 615K)

I can't be held responsible for your inability to see the similarities in the characters of Kirk and Flynn in Robin Hood, Gentleman Jim or Captain Blood

Can I skip the animated show?

There were a few episodes like this. Janeway in "Counterpoint", or Sisko in "In the Pale Moonlight", which has to be one of the darkest trek episodes ever made.

Skipping TAS is acceptable. It's a cheap as hell kids cartoon. It's not even canon anyway.

Sure but its pretty good though.

Tell me. What are these supposed similarities from movies you probably never even saw?

In fact, with DS9 being on amazon prime, I'm going to have to watch that tonight.

Its established that everything the doesnt immediately conflict with canon of the live action franchise, is canon. I think.

Watch Yesteryear. There's some fairly important character development for Spock.

Why can't I marry and spend the rest of my life with Michael Burnham lads?

I love her....

TNG is pretty shit tier DESU, I'd recommend skipping it and watching Discovery.

Am I only the one who thinks B'Elanna Torres looks like Alyssa Milano? Could swear it was her at first.

My Trek bae is Torres though. God damn.

I'm an expert on Star Track. It was playing as background noise while i did much better t hings for years while i was a child. I was there for Xavier, Black man, red woman, and some other captain. They all sucked ass. Oh yeah the other captain was some fucking asshole they picked up from a really good hardware store, they made him shave his beard. Anyway, i just saw the pilot to the original Star Tracks and it was about 1000000X better than any other gay ass 1990's Star track and on.

Attached: richmod.jpg (1280x720, 82K)

based faceblind poster

I wouldn't. Episodes are only 23 minutes, only 22 of them, its canon and its actually pretty good.

Slut shaming kirk because he tried to hook up with loads of women is wrong. Stop it now.

>I don't understand people who skip episodes on the first watch
...because it's an episodic show with some really shitty/boring episodes in between the good ones?

But how are you supposed to know the good ones from the bad ones?
Other people telling you what to do?

Lol this world today. Everyone just doing what the man in charge wants them to.

>But how are you supposed to know you aren't supposed to drink bleach? Other people telling you what to do?

Attached: datas day.png (414x466, 296K)

>implying that's an excuse for following the herd and skipping episodes because you're told to

He didnt though. Kirk wasnt even half the sleazy ladies man in TOS you would think he was because of his reputation. He is honestly one of the most straight laced captains.

Youtube gave me ADHD

Yep, almost never breaks the rules and incredibly by the book.

I skipped the first two seasons on TNG my first marathon through the series, nothing else after though. I dont regret it.

This. The pop culture perception about Kirk is just false. I remember Ronald D. Moore commenting that show runners like Braga (I think) believing Kirk was some sort of horny space cowboy who shot his way out of situations, while Moore was an actual Star Trek fan and knew that was bullshit.

Get that faggot in Purple out of there.

You can't skip episodes.

99.9% of the pop culture image for Kirk comes from the movies and 70s fan fiction
But everyone thinks it's reality and even the JewJew Abrahams movies were based what everyone perceives him to be like

>At the end of the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, all licenses for Star Trek spin-off fiction were renegotiated, and the animated series was essentially "decanonized" by Gene Roddenberry's office. Writers of the novels, comics and role-playing games were prohibited from using concepts from the animated series in their works. Among the facts established within the animated series that were called into question by the "official canon" issue was its identification of Robert April as the first captain of the USS Enterprise in the episode "The Counter-Clock Incident"

Honestly TOS, TNG, and ds9 are some of the best tv ive seen. Granted im more of a fan of the TOS movies than the series but theres plently of good episodes and a certain atmosphere non if the following series really captured.

You missed Measure of the Man.

But sure be a sheep.

With a little help from a simple tailor who also did nothing wrong.

She isnt wrong. Gene wasn't an in your face misogynist though. Behind the scenes he could have been a real dick. Wasn't he accused of rape by several people?

>The Vengeance Factor

Why Riker forget phasers have a stun setting at the end? That shit always stuck with me.

>Lights of Zetar
>Okay

Was easily a bottom 3 episode for me, so so so boring. At least Spock's Brain and Way to Eden are kinda fun in a silly way.

I went back to it, user.

I enjoyed Turnabout Intruder, Gamesters of Triskellion, Who Mourns for Adonis and Wolf in the Fold.

If I had skipped them cause of this list I would have missed out on those kino episodes (imo).

TONS of absolute shit sprinkled with some of the finest moments in TV history. But there are entire bad seasons in all but one of those shows.

name (number) me one season of any Trek show where every single episode was shit.

came here to post this

They used to occasionally show TAS too but I haven't seen it in a while.

Voyager seasons 1-7.

The only one that's okay to skip is Shades of Gray. Clip shows are usually wastes of time.

Hey, Voyager was good when Neelix wasn't on the screen...or Chakotay, Kes, Kim, Torres, Paris or Tuvok. but it was all good apart from that.

Torres is a perfect 10/10 would wife and spent rest of eternity with her.

oops missed out Janeway too

punished neelix was pretty kino, tho. but yeah, the doctor should have been the whole show.

>The Royale
>Bad

This better be a joke or else the judgement of this entire list is in question.

If that was true, then what was the deal with the Equinox?

>A utopian future, the human characters are all enlightened, reasonable, intelligent.
And then you got to VOY and DS9.

maybe he was talking about the book.
>I hold no malice toward by benefactors. They could not possibly know the hell they have put me through. For it was such a badly written book, filled with endless cliche and shallow characters. I shall welcome death when it comes.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

Are there actually people that tell you to skip TOS? The best one?

Most people tell Trek newbies to start on TNG and skip TOS as it's too old and campy. Probably the same fucking zoomers that can't watch anything older than Star Wars and black and white stuff is unwatchable.

Poor Kirk was probably still in love with that alien chick whose touch forces you to love them forever up until the end.
This. It's probably only women who are claiming that womanizing is a bad thing for an alpha male like Kirk.

It was a different time.

Voyager was better before Kes left.

The episode "Deadlock" is one of the franchise's best, imo.

Destruction of Romulus is a more apt example.

Damn straight.

>Skipping TAS is acceptable.
No, it's not.

The lack of Enterprise in this thread is sad.

So you only want the highlights but still feel like you have the authority to lecture other fans who have watched everything? Get fucked.

Star Trek is best when you're high, prove me wrong.

Attached: bl4uppe7bf311.jpg (540x382, 38K)

>watching a full tv show gives you authority over other people
How sad must your life be for you to think this way.

Trek is garbage. It's just so fucking boring and terribly produced and low budget, literally Dr. Who in space. Only fags will deny this

It's been a sad thread
All the way from OP to here

Go back.

I am Brazilian, and I'm not OK with this.

episodic television is cancer

>not a single contrarian shitpost in this whole image as far as I can see
very based and very accurate, enjoy this you from me to you

you're having an episode right now

>just watched the episode where the female Federation officer or whatever steals Kirk's body because she was jealous of the 'no girl captain' rule.
lol

That sounds like Q. Q shenanigans are some of the best parts.

legend of the galactic heroes is only good for about 20 episodes, when you know who dies.

>imagine not having an inner monologue lol
Are there seriously people who don't have an internal monologue?

>not voicing your thoughts via soliloquy

neelix_tom_paris_nygeans.webm

I think Voyager is not optional, because Seven, Janeway, and Neelix are top tier characters.

Someone who is more knowledgeable about a subject is more authoritative on said subject. So yes, someone who has watched every episode is more of an authority on the show than soneone who cherry picks episodes. Are you dense?

yeah! wait... heh heh, dude, what? oh man

>Pike wanted to retire on Orion selling sexy green sex slave aliens

Attached: Nomad.png (352x640, 271K)

Agreed.

I love how they didn't give a shit on TOS about anything resembling continuity.

>one episode they say a planet with the same culture as Earth is impossible and must be from some outside interference
>next they run into a duplicate Earth and don't bat an eye

Attached: basedparis.webm (456x340, 459K)

Once you see it a couple of times it becomes routine. "Oh, let me guess, culture similar to Earth in the late twentieth century, right? Nailed it."

>female captain
That’s gonna be a yikes from me, dog.

Agreed
TOS
>best enjoyed with weed and wodka
TNG
>best enjoyed with weed and whiskey
DS9
>best enjoyed with weed and mushrooms
Voy
>best enjoyed with coffee, black. and weed
Ent
>best enjoyed with Andorian Ale

ENT is comfy, it's best enjoyed with some cocoa.

Attached: Archer and his bitch.jpg (653x564, 24K)

TOS is best enjoyed with a scotch on the rocks and a fine cigar or pipe.

That's what schizos do.

TNG is best enjoyed with a glass of piss.

Attached: 1547258898894.png (1000x1000, 190K)

everything after TNG is shit

Nice shit opinion you have there faggot.

season 2, season 1 sucked but I liked the characters enough to push through
use the TNG episode guide Yea Forums image

Man, is there anyone more wholesome than Scott Bakula? The man was born to be a Trek lead.

Seek help

>When does tng get good?
Encounter at Farpoint

it was tough for him to carry the show by himself. phlox helped a bit but didn't really compare to many of the other doctors

Whichever producer gave him his mutt was a genius.

He deserved 7 seasons. A mini showing his later career would be boss, provided it's not STD-riddled.

In a way it might've been for the best, he was badly balding in season 4.

Underrated episode.

Sexism aside, its one of the best. Shatner playing a woman pretending to be Kirk is just comfy Trek at its best.

Thats the pilot he's talking about. A good solid 2 parter, I liked it. Modern day watchers have low attention spans so its not for them.

Twilight Zone Light

You only like it because you starred in it.

I didnt like old tv shows when I was a kid gramps

I'll never get to make sweet love to Torres lads....

At least we got shoulder porn of her.
In fact, shoulder porn seems pretty common in Trek.

Attached: 1549597387568.png (720x549, 442K)

man thats an awful shot of kira

Unpopular opinion:
>Motion Picture is a great film and truly feels like Trek on the big screen, although I enjoy the others, they feel like extended episodes. Plus the music is God tier.
>5 isn't even that bad, sure it has flaws but its still fun.
>6 is the best of the first 6.

That's not Bae Torres...

Attached: 1564122847-2019-07-26-Star-Track-Record.png (600x1125, 289K)

I never said it was?

Attached: hoshislut.jpg (340x344, 12K)

My god... this guy only likes 4/5ths of every Star Trek series? And he calls himself a real fan...

This opinion is actually surprisingly common here.

Torres actually looks better with the Klingon forehead.

It was a FAAAAAAAKE

The main problem with STD was a lack of cuties.

Attached: 1554344892067.gif (360x360, 3.52M)

your only interested in male gaze rather than good writing...

It's a visual medium, not a book, I need both.
Also, being cute is about how you act as much as looks.

so you hate discovery because none of the female cast members are super models getting their tits out... nice to know your views of women are stuck in the 20th century

You tried this before, drone. Trump tried to cut NASA funding despite his lip service about going to the moon.

>Congress provided $21.5 billion to NASA in fiscal year 2019. That's a 3.5% increase from the previous year and 8% above that proposed by the White House.
>NASA's Education Division—originally zeroed out in the President's request—instead got a boost to $110 million
>Now that NASA has its funding for 2019, our eyes turn toward 2020. The White House is likely to release its formal President's Budget Request in March, at which point the whole process begins anew. Given the political animosity between the House of Representatives and the White House, the growing deficit, and the lack of a broad spending agreement in the Congress, we may look back and consider 2019 as a local maxima of budgetary support for the space program.

what took you so long!?

Yeah, he cut NASA funding because he wants to make a SPACE FORCE.

I hate STD because the stories are shit, the sets are ugly and non of the characters are attractive looks or personality wise.

All namefags must hang

gee
