>it doesn't raise any issues about cloning in any way but just uses them as another disposable cannon fodder

And people still shit on Prequel Trilogies...

>luke, i'm your father

>is not about people having to fight their own clones

>tfw I always thought the Clone Wars would have something to do with clone impersonators, like Luuke and Joruus C'baoth, but instead it's 50 billion Boba Fetts

But space politics are sooo interesting

do not want

I thought it was going to be an evil faction of clones fighting the republic

They can be

This

Same

This. When you hear "clone" wars, you don't really think of the clones being the good guys. The picture I get from it is of clone infiltrators that become so numerous that it threatens the balance of everything.

I always figured it'd be some crazy rich guy starts cloning himself and tries to take over the universe with his clones or everybody starts cloning and the clones revolt or some shit

That's actually an amazing plot for a film.
>everybody on earth has to kill themselves until there's only one of each person left
>your clone hunts you and only you, is totally friendly to everyone except wants to kill you
>if it succeeds it takes on your life and no one will ever know if the winner was you or the clone
>same works for your loved ones, you don't know if the person you're married to is your wife or an exact copy that succeeded in killing your wife at some time in the past

>obi Wan isn't actually OB-1
>he is the last surviving Clone of Ben Kenobi
>the evil empire didn't clone Jedi and use them as unstoppable army
>this war didn't cause the Jedi to be so feared that they are hunted down and destroyed

He doesn't. The Clone Wars take place between II and III. Unless you mean the cartoon.

good story idea, jordan peele

As a kid, I imagined the Clone War as something like this: Obi, Vader and the other Jedi were cloned and fought their many doubles, then had to understand wether the survivor was the true one or not.
I also expected some twist in later movies of the OT that never happened.

Was it just a throw away line to build universe or did Lucas have it all planned out then,

>30 years

Sure kid

STAR WARS SUCKS GOAT BALLS. let it die.

"begun, the clone wars have"
-thats a line straight from the movie, dumbass

Luke Childkiller

the fan theories about the clone wars were so much better than what we got

said literally NO ONE ever

>what are memories and shared events between loved ones?
The twist was supposed Darth Jar Jar. But I agree, it would've been cool if there was a plot point in the PT that added a twist to the OT
(like finding out that Vader was actually a clone who had been lead to believe he was the real Vader - I'm spitballing leave me alone)

.... but i just did...

pokemon did it first.

He knew it wasn't the start of the story. But no. He originally intended ep4 to be ep5 and that the whole sage would be 12 episodes.
He also wanted a focus on several different characters with only R2 and C3PO being recurring

you don't exist

I surely enjoyed all that Clone Wars stuff in II, especially the scene where they prepare for war, just before the credits roll

the clones on geonosis counts as the clone wars

everything with clones in ROTS is also clone wars until order 66

I remember thinking the Clone Wars must have been like Vietnam or WWII back when I watched ANH for the first time. I never thought the clones were just Stormtroopers with a slightly different armor.

and they talked about the jedi order as some kind of weird ancient almist forgotten cult even tho they had a giant cathedral at the center of power of the galaxy a few decades prior
bravo lucas

the clones became the stormtroopers?
thats what i alwaays thought

I mean I never thought that until Episode 2 came out. Before that I thought the "clone" wars were maybe about some uprising of clones that went out of control or something like that.

and the bounty hunter that captured han was a clone that the original raised as a son
