What I was alluding to was the fact that there's been a cycle of reactionary racial politics where attempts to elevate and enfranchise one ethnic group begets a response in another and it begins activating more and more people's racial identity. Places like /pol/ and thecoli are a part of introducing uninitiated people into this world using adjacent streams of culture. Even if you're Jewish, seeing all the posts on /pol/ about Ethiopian migrants in Israel or Blacks on Jews posters probably triggered a more ethnocentric response in yourself.
But don't forget, sexual tribalism manifests itself in more than just ethnic lines. It can happen with reginal identities, political allegiances, between social classes and the list goes on depending on how strongly someone feels about an aspect of their identity.

The characters and dialogue in The Sopranos and Goodfellas feel so much more genuine and realistic.
