Tarantino first and foremost pays homage to shit he grew up with and loves. I thought some of the exchanges with Mike were interesting, but the movie is mainly about attitude, muscle cars, and campy characters, as the b-side to a double feature to Grindhouse, which in of itself was fun, but dumb.

What usually happens in a Tarantino flick? He finds a way to keep a woman alive long enough to invent some excuse, any excuse, to get a needless, close up, extended shot of her feet and once that's accomplished, he kills her off.

I don't know, heard bad rumors when he was released, but was i surprised. Last tarantino film i saw lol. Really liked all that grindhouse shit, when there is missed reel or 'bad' quality.. One of top roles of KR imho. Some sequences simply pure kino.

Grindhouse trash is supposed to be entertaining. Deathproof is neither particularly trashy nor even remotely entertaining. In point of fact, it's one of the most boring movies I've ever seen in my life.
