You know the kind, one hero vs. pretty much everyone, one liners, ridiculous weapons/fighting scenes, etc. Cheesy but entertaining as fuck and perfect for a beer and some popcorn at 11pm. I've seen the most well-known ones, but is there any good shit that didn't become very popular?
80s/90s action movies
Brat
Its Russian, but you don't have to understand it to know whats going on, can always use subs.
strike commando? wouldn't call it good but might be okay for laugh or two
May not be exactly what I'm looking for but I have heard about it many times and each time it was praised. It's time to give it a look. Cheers
This looks amazing lmao, and I love "so bad it's good" movies, will def check it out, thanks man.
Have you seen pic related. If not, watch pic related.
Pretty sure I've heard of it but I haven't watched it yet. Sounds really fun, thanks for the rec.
Really fun movie, but kind of depressing.
SPEED?
I think it was the people that do the Razzies, but several years ago they identified the 1980s as the worst decade for movies and Sylvester Stallone as the worst movie actor, and singled out pic related as being the perfect example of a terrible movie.
>tfw Refn and Gosling completely stole this character for Drive
If you're looking for 'so bad it's good' films check out Robowar, complete scene for scene rip off of Predator but hilarious in every way

Tough Guys was one I watched many times as a kid because of the train hijacking in the last act. Sometimes I'd fast forward to three-quarters into the movie just to watch that part.

Did Stallone always have that hole in his chest
I still can't get over what a masterpiece Rambo 1 was. How the fuck did the sequels become so shit?
Shatner's Tekwar of course

Bloodsport
>Directed by Vincent Dawn
aka Bruno Mattei, the master of blatant rip-offs
I'll assume everyone's seen this... but just in case. Let off some steam.
Checked the imdb page. Didn't know that he had so many aliases. I guess it comes with the trade
Exterminator I&II
make sure to get the uncensored, gory version
I recorded this one. Is it worth watching?
That dude is a stuntman with no screen presence and his movies are derivative of late Hong Kong action movies. I would argue that it has fuck all in common with the 80s american action genre.
Fuck whoever called Cobra terrible.
>one hero vs. pretty much everyone, one liners, ridiculous weapons/fighting scenes, etc. Cheesy but entertaining as fuck and perfect for a beer and some popcorn at 11pm
he's certainly more of a seagal/van damme type than stallone or schwarzenegger
you are so cool and different
Is that achievable natty?
It's great and surprisingly funny, and my favorite Rutger role.
Probably not, but it's pretty modest for roids so you'd come close.
OP, the 80's was a wonderful time for both Horror and Action movies. The reason why was when people made that stuff they weren't doing it under the guise of Le Irony. Even cheesy shit like Commando played it just straight enough for you to be invested in the drama while still acknowledging how ridiculous it all was. I miss the 80's, especially with all the nudity and gore that we got which came to an end with the 90's and Political Correctness!!!FACT!!!
He's Van Damme without the cheeky or campy qualities.
absolutely flawless title drop
Ok. I was hesitant since it's an action comedy, but I'll watch it.
First one was based on a book, first blood. 2 and 3 didn't have that. 4 was brilliant.
have you seen the undisputed sequels? boyka is pure camp
have you seen some Dolph ones like Dark Angel and Showdown in Little Tokyo
Teksneed
Woah a 6 barrel M16? Sweet.
dead heat although it's more comedy horror
>jews
>hate kino
What a suprise
at least you tried
>I think it was the people that do the Razzies
>they identified the 1980s as the worst decade for movies and Sylvester Stallone as the worst movie actor,
Razzies' creator/owner is a piece of shit who has some vendetta against Stallone. he tried to nominate stallone for a razzie for Creed but had to suck his shit back in when Stallone on the contrary was nominated for an Oscar. seriously fuck that razzie faggot, he can get rashes all over his ass.
Yea this movie is sick, do not understand all the hate it got. Probably because he directed it? Jealous critics of the 80s who aren’t involved in making movies watching Stallone do it all
Redditors would complain that it's too masculine or objectifies women somehow
yes faggot but we are specifically talking about 80's-style action films here. Direct to video action movies made in the past 15 years don't count, unless they are specifically grind-house style films or action-comedies.
Missing in Action series is fun, Iron Eagle,Tango and Cash is a personal favorite, American Ninja is very fun, Delta Force, Over the Top
Anyone here seen Action Jackson? It always pops up but I’ve never seen it.
Thanks for all the recs guys, I don't even know where to start. Dubs decides the first movie?
Eat shit, soiposting faggot.
