Ednaswap couldn't get the instrumentals down for the song. There is actually various versions of it floating around of them playing it more like a dirge and other times like a generic grunge song. They signed the song's rights over to someone that opted to make it into a pop song. Would it have been just as big of a hit if it was a rock song and not sung by a very pretty woman? Who knows.
