Tom Hiddleston NEEDS to be the next James Bond

He's awful as a leading man. See The Night Manager and Kong: Skull Island. He's boring and bland when he's not playing a side character.

I recall Fleming himself saying Bong has thuggish elements to him. The character is meant to be have a dark, menacing flavour to his character. It is difficult to imagine Hiddleston having that. Same with Cavill. Maybe they can, but it's difficult to imagine. Hence I'd like Aidan Turner based on the And Then There Were None performance.

He wasn't the problem with Kong Skull Island
I think he could do dark and menacing. That's kinda what Loki was. I haven't seen Turner in that TV series you mentioned though, so maybe he would be a good fit too.

Give it a go. He walks around in a Bond-esque tux smoking, sipping whiskey, seduces the main lady character, runs around with a gun and takes charges and acts alpha. Tone down the menace, up the charm, make Turner do an English accent rather than an Irish one (which he can do, as seen in Poldark), and you have a solid Bond.
