Did anyone watch it? Kino or trash?

respond fuckers. SOmeone must have seen the morning show.
It was decent but it felt like there was something really missing, especially with Sharon not dying. Could’ve been much shorter too.
rating?
I went and saw it last night. I was so bored until the final hour of the film because I couldn't understand what the fucking story was. But the ending was pure fucking kino. It was the best ending I've seen in a LONG ass time and I'm a cunny consultant film buff.
Brad Pitt made the movie great. Leo was ok. It's worth a ticket just to see the ending.
8/10
Could've been higher if things were cut out, like the Great Escape sequence had no place in the story and disrupted the flow of Tate's story. Nice comfy buddy comedy with a pure kino ending and soundtrack.
The scenes with Leo dragged a bit in the middle. Overall maybe a 7?

FLOP OF THE DECADE TARANTINO IS FINISHED
I feel like the opposite, I loved all the Rick stuff but feel like the sequence to check on George took too long.
Definetly an awesome flick if you're aware of the historic context. As per usual Tarantino standards, the movie is inspired by real facts and deviated in a great tarantino way. Granted the pacing was slow but I really liked the build up with the actors playing other actors gimmick. Also, Dicaprio was god tier imo.
Saw it last night.
9/10
It's just fun hangout movie.
>flashes armpit hair
Very dishonest. If I would've been in charge of this job, I would've never let shit like this slide. Pic related.
0/10 masturbatory circle-jerk, although I repeat myself.
Utter fucking garbage
Good catch. I was looking for some out of place cars during the driving scenes but didn't notice this shit. I blame Margot being on screen.
People love to hate Tarantino because he makes these over the top love letters to old genres. This one is the most top comfy movie I ever saw, long af tho. So any brainlet who plans to see it get ready for a side western story and long conversations about random shit. 9/10
Kino
Does it feel influenced by Sergio Leone? Is the production at that level?
More in a historical sense than a stylistic sense
Maybe it's symbolic of how when you are in the entertainment business you are always under the microscope of the public and the studio bosses
> If we can explain away Kubrick's mistakes with meaningless deep ideas, why not here?
Camrip when?
How do you mean? The reviews are glowing:

They call it his opus.
I loved it, but to call it his "opus" is a bit of an overstatement. May change my mind after a second watch though.
My only complaint is that it could've been edited tighter. Other than that, really good.
It's pure kino. Fuck caoeshit.
>quirkily shortening opus magnus to opus
do americans really do this?
>9th tarantino movie
>he said he'll make 10
Next one better be ultra kino
>For all the detail, this is no more historical than a Marvel movie.
Sally Menke dying really fouled up his movies post-Inglorious Bastards.
Netflix extended cut mini series inbound I bet, after movies he’s gonna do something with Netflix and TV shows
I just quoted what the user before me said. I wouldn't know, I'm canadian.
Also, it's magnum opus. The irony...
Armond White actually liked it. He said it's Tarantino's best film. I'm surprised because he hates him
One reviewer did, this guy argued the same thing

If you really liked Jackie Brown and missed that type of Tarantino. You’re gonna love this like I did.
>jackie 'puke' brown
Ok so its the 2nd worst tarantino.
Jackie Brown is his best film.
Tarantino breaks formula. It’s overlong, but easily his best since Jackie Brown. I say this as someone who’s hated everything he’s made since Kill Bill.
Can someone spoil it for me please? I want to know what happens but not enough to actually pay money to see it.
yeah i've hated everything he's done since Kill Bill vol 2... but I actually liked this one.
Is there more nigger worship like in his last 2 flicks? If so, I shan't be watching.
no niggness. just boomer worship
I don’t recall seeing a minority outside maybe the theater owner and maybe a valet the entire movie
I was really enjoying up until the final act which I found a little overblown and stupid. Uno Farto falling back into his bad habits
I think this might've been intentional, though. The box office attendant doesn't recognize her as Sharon Tate because of course, Robbie doesn't really resemble her. The manager of the theater is a man of color. In the end Robbie doesn't die because she's not really Sharon Tate, and the events of everything we see are literally a fairy tale revisionist story. I didn't notice the camera but there was certainly some mendacity to the entire cut up sequence of her seeing Wrecking Crew.
Kino back on the menu boys
there's a lot of the usual tarantino overindulgence and the movie feels super long but brad pitt plays the god of all chads and makes it all worth it in the end.
Saw it today
Absolute K I N O
too much feet tho
it was awesome. margot robbie and dakota fanning are fiiiine
Chris Stuckmann gave it an A-, so it must be great!!
Just watched the fight scene between Pitt & Bruce Lee on YouTube. Weak Sauce. If you saw the trailer, you've seen the fight. Holy crap... there might be an additional 5 seconds of fight if that and then it's broken up.
About the only thing they cut from the trailer is Pitt throwing Bruce Lee into the side of a car. That's it.
Good but not great. Script feels like a good first draft. But it is charming which goes a long way. B-, way better than H8ful at least. But the other half of Grindhouse has the better film this year.
It was a sparring match. You don't do much in a spar unless you can't ground your opponent. The final bout was interrupted by the production guy's wife but it was starting to get good. I think the point of the scene was to make you laugh at Bruce and then immediately feel like you misunderstood a real Cassius Clay type personality
i hated this movie
The ending was based
why? detail your argument in 2 paragraphs or more.
Trailer is really deceptive; It makes you think that there's a much longer fight and that the whole scene is tighter but it's typical Tarantino drawn-out and, when the fight finally does happen, 95% of it was in the trailer. Very deceptive.
i wish it really happened like this. i've never considered it prior, but i got a really depressed feeling from the end
first of all, it's all been said before. it was overlong and not focused at all. The heart of the film should be the bros hanging out, but we didn't get much of that at all. No characters change or develop in this movie, it;s masturbation.
sorry its not 2 paragraphs but i was incredibly disappointed.
Ending sucked rest was comfy
sorry meant to reply to you
ending was great up until the flamethrower
Tarantino made some kino, ending is worth it. More like a character study that uses the manson tate murder to end it on a good note rather than a bad in the best way possible. Leo flamethrowin the bitch at the end had me in tears
this was edited out, only appears in the trailer
watch the fucking movie idiot
Also, Armond White liked it. He hates Tarantino but called it his best film. I'm surprised
it's far from it
But is it still good?
>thought he was going to die at that old set
>he bitches out all the cultists and leaves like a boss
no, you'll be checking your watch
Absolute kino. Easily the best thing Tarantula has done in 20 years and maybe one of his best.
The scene where he breaks down in front of the little girl is pure kino
Bruce Lee
Saw it in 35mm, and as someone who's never, ever been on the Tarantino hype train, I'm leaning towards kino. I suspect his hardcore fans will be split on it due to the lack of a plot, but I thought it was exactly the redirection he needed after getting stuck in a rut of retardation and empty edginess with Django, Hateful 8, and maybe even Basterds. It kind of reminded me of Inherent Vice in that the ambience and character quirks carry the picture more than conflict and logical progression. letterboxd.com
Hollywood naking a movie abiut Hollywood sounds really self indulgent and masterbatory. ....Pass
guess it's shit then
it's shit dude
Any good pir8 copies online yet? I don't give jews money.
T.pol
Funny, my favorite film of his is Jackie Brown and I hated this movie. Found it meandering
good taste, it sucks
Was Kino
Leo and Brad were both brilliant I thought
Especially Leo
Anything weird, sexually?
Common Sense Media only cites spoken dialogue about blowjobs and Playboy Bunnies on screen
My sister is weird about sex stuff
Nothing too weird sexually no
Trash kino like the best Tarantino
>My sister is weird about sex stuff
pics or it did not happen
Menke had an instrumental role in Pulp Fiction success. She restrained the most self-congratulatory side of Tarantino, and her tight edition work was amazingly precise. Her death saddened me, for real.
Could you guys maybe use spoilers? Not everyone has seen it yet. K thanks.
No nudity or sex scenes? I'd go with my mom D:
Sorry i only watch movies from Asia
It's not worth watching. There's not much to spoil either
